I'm newish to the site but I try and use the recommend button so other readers can see what the strong suits of the story are. Character? Pacing? Emotional? Etc. It's pretty neat. I always look at it when I'm about to read a story. ETA: It's funny to see how differently people view things. For me, I checked humor because I think this story is funny AF but looking just now, only 50/65 marked humor. Did no one read this blurb? Makes me wonder about the other 15 people. No sense of humor lol. While 61/65 checked characters (obviously).

How dare you break site policy! It's at 65 now. Twenty more? Really not that far off. I'm sure a lot of people will do it once the story is complete on Wednesday or Thursday (whenever she decides to post the final chapter). At first I thought it was impossible but now I think it will happen.

It gets better and better. This chapter is probably my favorite. So much to love. Everything is really coming together for Jay and Loren. I was surprised to know it was Jay who couldn't keep it in his pants. I'm proud of Loren for stopping things. I personally wouldn't wait until marriage but Loren knows it's important to Jay, despite Jay's weakening resolve. I think what Loren did was very honorable and showed a lot of love and respect toward Jay. I loved the skiing. Loren was in his element and of course, all the kids were so cute. Aidan and Carson on the slopes was precious. I do hope Lars and Courtney move closer. They deserve it after so many years apart. Life is too short. I wish I knew what was coming in the next chapter. A wedding, obviously, and sex. I always secretly hoped that Loren would want kids but I just don't se that coming together in one more chapter. Which is why we need that bonus extension! There's no way this story can properly wrap up in one more chapter. I want soo much more. This is the funniest thing I've read! Bringing Stratego back was epic. I laughed knowing Loren would rather die. He will never outrun that game.

Loren isn't fooling anyone. He wants to watch the kids. Nice try though. All I'm trying to say is that Loren is total dad material. I don't know how you'll pull it off in two chapters but this man has got to be a father. Or a really bad ass uncle. 😒

This was everything and more. I'm in absolute awe. There wasn't anything missing! I cannot say it enough, you are masterful. The damn dialogue queen. The way you bring such raw and REAL emotion to the surface continues to amaze me. Example: Jay's joy. Aidan being a kid Carson being Carson: Loren trying to be domesticated 🤣 Jay keeping Loren real:

Jay waiting for Loren to figure out his shit every time he tells Loren to go home.

Here we go! If there isn't some big moment for these two by the end, I will be sad. It has become a big side bar of this story. The friendship between Loren and Seamus is written in the stars. It counters beautifully with the friendship between Matt and Jay. IT IS FATE

First. The GIFs on this thread are on point this morning. I haven't laughed this hard all week! Second. Damn. This chapter had it all. Awkward, cringe, laughter, sweetness, irritation, Aido Potato, and Carson Mugget. The best part of this chapter is everyone who has Loren's back. And it's EVERYONE. They all have a role to play in this chapter. If they all worked together or not, I don't know. I kind of hope not. It's just natural for them to do all this for the sake of their friends.

My mind is blown. This makes so much sense.

On a serious note, this chapter really was a gift. I never know what I'm going to read but I am never disappointed, not in the writing but sometimes in the characters *coughs* Loren *coughs*. There is so much good happening in this chapter. If there was ever a time for Loren to be locked outside Jay's life, it would be now. He's overcome many hurdles and he has all the tools he needs to fix this. He will likely need to Lars, his carbon copy, who clearly reacts similarly to Loren, only instead of running from Courtney once they were together, he's towards her. He's good at compromising. I think Lars will need to walk Loren through this. Everything with his own family has opened Jay's eyes. I think he's seeing boundaries in a new light. With his parents, with his brothers, sexually, and now with Loren. The character arc of this story definitely revolves around Loren but I think this is were Jay grows. Jay and his baby arc. I have absolutely no clue what Thursday will bring but I'm looking forward to it.
