  1. A few days had gone by, Jeremy and Jasper had not seen each other since the weekend and their very tumultuous day at the rowing club. They went to different schools and thus didn't see each other very regularly outside of practice. Except for a few random afternoons when they decided to do some homework or play video games together. However, it had been a hectic couple of days for both, with school, homework, and parents nagging them about chores and getting things done. However, Tuesday ev
  2. Really enjoyed the chapter, I like how you take time to share both points of view and make them work together.
  3. When Jasper and Jeremy finally emerged from the locker room, they discovered that they were indeed the last people left in the rowing club. They had only recently received their keys after being a member for a year with no reported issues. That was a club rule for getting a key. When they were officially handed their very own keys to the rowing club, it had felt like a rite of passage to the boys. A special kind of trust. Jeremy was not in the mood to go home just yet. Chapter 7

These two are so funny! Amazing characters!
  5. James paddled just a little faster on his bike as he was nearing his destination, the rowing club. It was real sunny outside, clear blue skies. He had even put on some sunblock before he headed out. Okay, in truth, his mother had insisted on applying sunblock, he hated the sticky white stuff. He took the next corner a bit sharp and his back wheel slid through the corner. James loved stunting with his bike, almost as much as performing stunts and tricks in the boat. Camden, a friend of

  7. In… Out… In… Out… Wait, get your mind out of the gutter, we're talking about rowing here! Oars going in and out of the water. Jeremy shook his head from left to right, attempting to clear his stinging eyes of his soaking wet hair. In his single scull, he was practically soaring over the water. Jasper, his rowing partner, was nearly a full-length behind him and making no progress in catching up to him. Putting his final reserves into play, Jeremy could feel his oars bending as he gave them h
  8. Jasper and Jeremy are two good teen friends and both avid rowers. They are on the verge of learning a lot about life and sports, causing some definite (g)rowing pains. They will develop their friendship, their perspective on life and, meanwhile, have plenty of adventures on and in the water
  9. Usually, not a big western fan...but this has got me hooked! And I love how you try to work in a real western sound as well in the dialogue, the inner-thoughts and your writing style. It really sets the atmosphere, and I figure it must be quite a challenge to find a good balance in how strong to put that atmosphere in. Right now, I think you've got a perfect blend!

    Chapter 2

Just started reading this story, love the characters, and Ariel's clumsiness. And Gram's is just as amazing! Can't wait to read the remaining chapters!
  11. Oh wow, this story is keeping me on the edge of my seat!
