    This is a troubling development, and the end of the story for me. The character is extremely rigid and unforgiving, runs away from any conflict (only random mention of his parents and siblings, etc). Oscar is written as a sick person (bi-polar, schizophrenic, manic-depressive) with no redeeming qualities and zero introspection. One might think this is a reflection of the author, or just another exercise in mental masturbation.

    The ending to this story was, in my opinion, a total cop out by the author. What had been a fairly interesting story became a disappointing and juvenile work. It felt like a betrayal by the author of his readers. Not cool.
