  1. The correct term is "edging". 😅
  2. Bishop is slowly learning just how much he underestimated Pawn.
  3. Truth be told...I struggled to stop. But Bishop and Pawn's "moment" needs a chapter all its own.
  4. A pleasure to see you here, my dear @Stompingrigs thank YOU for bringing this story back to me. P.S. I am currently writing a sequel to this story. The first couple of chapters are already available on my Patreon.
  5. The sound of hoofbeats faintly echoed as Pawn emerged from the forest's shadows, the dark horse carrying him effortlessly across the ranch's open expanse. When the boy reached the edge of the house, he slid gracefully off the horse's back, landing softly, almost as if gravity itself hesitated to hold him down. Bishop remained rooted in place, his towering form somehow diminished by the boy's luminous presence. Pawn turned to him, and as their eyes met, Bishop felt the weight of all his ye
  6. I've always loved those shots in movies where something is happening and then suddenly the camera begins to pan out, to the point where you're left wondering what's happening behind it. I love doing that with my stories, too. Because it ends up opening a fun space for readers to indirectly "participate" in my writing process.
  7. 🤯 now THAT made me upset. That I didn't think of it. Always the most entertaining and insightful comments @Danners such a pleasure to have you around!
  8. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback @Steve Farner . It means a lot!
  9. Thank you @Craigy for reading and for pushing through. It was a pleasure to have you along for this ride!
  10. Thank you @Cane23 for always being so enthusiastic and engaged!
  11. He told his son he'd be back. He's a man of his word. 😉 Every time I type "the end" it never really feels like one. That's the beauty of stories. These characters now live beyond the borders of my imagination. No longer my property. So, in a sense, any reader can now write that epilogue. ❤️
  12. Knowing Nicholas, I'm certain he won't be able to stay away from Jett for too long. But I wanted him to have a moment all his own, away from everything, where he could finally reconnect with the only person able to understand what he went through.
  13. I wouldn't call it a "happy ending", Peter. But a hopeful one, for sure. Thank you for taking this journey with me.
  14. Brandon's body was still, frozen in mid-motion. His breath snagged with the vague hint of an impending confrontation as he turned to look at Nicholas, squinting against the murky light inside the car. Nicholas's face was an unreadable mask that seemed miles away from the man Brandon knew. "What do you mean, talk?" Brandon's voice quivered despite his best efforts to keep it steady. Nicholas remained silent, his attention riveted on the sprawling darkness ahead. The car seemed to respon
  15. Nicholas and Beth came full circle. Although, to be fair, Nicholas as been carrying most of the baggage and emotional weight of all that's happened on his own.
  16. I'd say extremely dangerous.
  17. After carefully stalking his profile I realized he likes writing. It's only fair to ask: where are the stories so we can read them? Sneaky @Danners ...
  18. (Three and a half years earlier) "What are you doing here?" Tom asked, his tone uncharacteristically hostile and lacking his usual friendliness. The tension in the air crackled with confusion, anger, and a silent, unspoken understanding. As Brandon locked eyes with Tom, a fleeting, inscrutable expression darted between them. Without uttering a single word, Brandon's gaze swept across the expanse of the room. The space exuded an aura of masculine comfort, permeated by the rich scent of

Dear Peter, I'm pleasantly surprised and somewhat humbled that, despite your quips with a few of my stylistic decisions, you still decided to see this journey to its conclusion. Also, I commend you for always exposing your POV in a sincere, respectable and constructive manner. I think it's clear at this point that Nicholas and Marcus's attraction was born out of the need to quell something they both suffered from: loneliness. Their love and the relationship they built became layered, stemming from more than just lust or desire. These last couple of chapters will definitely answer some questions. Although I'm a firm believer that stories should always leave some space for interpretation. Best, Casual W.
