Wednesday October 5 I'm walking home from school and a car pulls up beside me. "You're Daggett, right?" Not knowing who it is, I'm hesitant to answer. "Who are you?" "Never mind that. Are you Daggett?" "Yeah, why?" "What happened in that warehouse?" "What?" "You were there before my sons died. What happened?" "Mr. Turner? I wasn't there. But I heard about it. I'm sorry for your loss, er, losses." "I was told you were there because they were

Good story. Had a lot of emotion in it. Laughter, sadness, anger (at the psycho with 2 names). On to another of your stories. Great job Andy. LRW
-
Andy, you are the Chubby Checker of gayauthors.org. Seems like every chapter it's 'Let's Twist Again.'
-
Throwing twists like this into a story is awesome. I also like having something happen that nobody expects. I was actually planning a real sick twist for my next chapter even before reading this one. I'm looking forward to writing chapter 8. LRW

Maddox is like a bad penny. He keeps turning up. He needs to be put in one of those machines that stretch the penny and imprint an image on it. I have the perfect image too - a Jackass. Glad Levie pulled through, but he had to right? Would have been a short story if not. LRW

New to the site and story, but yeah, Maddox is a psychopath. Or is that sociopath? Either way, a nutcase who makes it hard to not look ahead. Fortunately, unlike a book, one can't cheat as easily and skip to the next page. LRW

R & R - Recovery and Revenge
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in R & R - Recovery and Revenge
@canopus - Interesting. The sites I searched didn’t mention that. I’ll have to dig some more and possibly make an update. Or just ‘fake it’ next time. -
Wednesday September 21 Time goes by slowly when you're lying in a hospital bed without a whole lot to do. Mom brought me a couple books, but that gets boring after a while. I've been trying to write some lyrics, but everything is coming out dark. No surprise there, I guess. I don't know which emotion is strongest in my mind right now. Hate? Yeah, that's up there. If I ever find out who did this to me, I'd love to return the favor. Depression? Yep, got that too. Maybe I should write a song -

Impact of the New Songs and Gay is Good - Not
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Impact of the New Songs and Gay is Good - Not
If you've read any of my other stories, you'll know that I deal pretty harshly with the homophobic characters. I see no diversion from the norm in this case. I may actually be quite vicious this time --------------------------------------------------------- I get it Ross. You may want to heed the warning in the chapter notes when chapter 6 gets published. Like I predicted above, I was quite vicious. -

Tuesday September 6 It's the first day back at school. Apparently, a LOT of kids in my class have gone to see our shows. Everywhere I turn, someone is congratulating me, telling me how great the band is, telling me which one of our original songs they like best. The thing that surprises me the most is when I sit down for lunch, the table I'm at fills up completely, as do the tables to either side. I was never this popular before, sure people liked me, but nobody but my closest friends would

Screwing the Shysters and Another Opportunity
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Screwing the Shysters and Another Opportunity
Dan, I’ll try to make it interesting. So far I think it’s starting out that way. Ditto here Tris, although I and a theoretical parent if them couldn’t have over 22 or so. Thanks Gary. Trying. -
Monday July 25 We met Michelle at Midtown's office/studio after determining it was in a strip mall. We immediately weren't impressed, but none of us were really surprised. Michelle started the first recorder before we entered. We walked in the main door and there was a small area, maybe 8 feet deep and the 15 or so feet wide the storefront was. A woman was sitting at a desk, blowing on her nails. Besides the desk, her chair, three more chairs and a small filing cabinet, the room was empty.

I'm Coming Out and Fallout from Cathy

Appreciate it Gary. Working on chapter 4 now. -
Friday July 15 It's time for the show at Garson's. I've been nervous all day, not because of the show of course. I'm on another plane when I'm on stage. Ant and I agreed to tell the rest of band about us. I've been going back and forth in my mind, if it's a good idea or not. I called Ant again about an hour ago, he's still sure we should do it. I really hope none of them have a problem with it. We finish the first set and head to the storeroom for our break. I've been off a little bit

The Review and Sexual Progress
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Review and Sexual Progress
@Hero, I understand your point. My idea of fiction is it doesn't have to be believable, and actually it's better if it isn't. One of my pet peeves is when people review a movie, comments like 'they didn't use yellow stripes on their uniforms in 19xx' or 'those two roads don't intersect' or anything that is real but has no impact on the story. I try to add a few real references so people can follow, like Middletown, Red Bank, Atlantic Highlands all actually exist, but there's no Garson's Hideout. If Garson's Hideout is believable since it doesn't exist, why can't anything else? Perfectly understand what you are saying though. @Tris, eyes on your own paper, how did you get a look at Chapter 3? 😁 -
Tuesday June 21 Monday's practice went well. We were all a little anxious about Keith's review. Rich, our resident pessimist wondered if he was just buttering us up to get our permission to write the review, not that he really needed it, and was going to skewer us in print. Keith did say our crowd size would change, not specifically grow. So that hid any anxiousness between Ant and me. I picked up Cathy at 4:00 so we could head to Garson's, get a couple copies of the paper, then go som

Chapter 1 - Don't Blame the Band
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Chapter 1 - Don't Blame the Band
My idea of the Romanos, Hero, is of a traditional, Italian Catholic family. Old traditions important to them. Mostly. Being dated is kind of intentional. I don’t know why I picked exactly 1988 for the timeframe, but I used the old fashioned, less modern world so I could avoid cell phones, the internet, etc. Dan, you’ll have to wait a bit on getting clear on RB. But some details are on their way. -

Thanks Tris (Hero and Dan too). No specific Ant spoilers, but I believe you’ll like Ant’s role in the next chapter. -

Thanks for the feedback so far. It’s always hard to know that just because I like my stories, will anyone else? -
Why is that when things are going well, something really awful happens? Or maybe it's better to ask why when things are going well, do I make an awful decision? As the song goes, please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Peter Daggett. I usually go by Pete, except for when mom is mad at me, then it's Peter Terrance Daggett. If anyone else is mad at me, it'll be dickhead, asshole, or if they're really mad, fucking asshole. That last is the latest I've heard. Eddie Nash, co-leader of the band
