I would say he's keeping his distance for now. And we don't see enough of the other slaves to be able to judge how they deal with the happening for real. Are they disgusted or ashamed or just relived it's over? We don't know. Same goes for their feelings/thought about Henry. He's a sweet boy trying to build a connection to the workers, but in the end he's "only a boy if one of them". Probably not. But with an incident of this scale, the speech Dennis gave before and the general attitude this will most likely "die by silence". We need to wait and see... First: very good question. Could be both, either they start pressuring Alice even more to support/comfort Matthew now, or they see him/his family as hopeless and therefore write this thing off. Second: as was said, the house seems to be on fire. Why? Something else? We don't know for now.

They look at the problem from different angles and you are right in first, Dante needs to adjust to the system he's moving in right now and second, Henry is also not the type of boy to benefit from the problem-solving he was thrown into. But Tom and Blaise are also right in the sense that if Dante refuses to fit into the group/community they will turn on him. The others, I mean, those two I'm not so sure. Blaise keeping him out could very well be because he's still seen as a child. True, Mikey is also a minor and was there, but he's part of the slave-community and Frank is not. For the other part... keep that theory in mind. We're closing slowly in on the truth. Absolutely true. Dante's training should have made sure he would inform at least someone before rushing off, but he followed Tom's lead. (Probably for a mix of being used to follow directives/leads and worry.) Tom should know better as well, but we hear about that next chapter... No objection from my side. ❤️

It seemed like a lifetime ago that Dante had been kneeling next to Mistress Alice in the café, hoping she wouldn't scratch him like a dog during it. Now that was exactly the best thing ever. Her fingers in his hair, her thigh under his cheek... Did it feel so good because she was a good mistress, or because he felt something for her beyond general affection? The answer was probably important for the future, but he couldn't bring himself to think about it; a certain doziness had taken posses

I hate the saying "blood is thicker than water". Family isn't everything. Or rather, friends are the family you choose. And we shouldn't be forced to side with our bloodrelatives when the only thing connecting is is, well, our blood/DNA. The world is small let's wait and see if there will come something from it or not. (I have honestly no clue.) Captain Marshmallow ❤️

With a tired sigh, Alex lifted his glasses and rubbed his eyes. They burned, even while closed, and the slight headache he’d woken up with told him it didn’t like the music. Which was bad, because he sat in a café, waiting for Max. Taking a deep breath, he just existed for a moment or two. The pop-music was too loud, would have been even without a headache, and the chatter of the other patrons was like an annoying hum; he grimaced when the shrill laughter of a woman pierced his ears.

Which is funny because he wasn't there and tries to take the blame precisely because he wasn't there... he sure has some problems in that departement. As an overseer he doesn't need to only delegate duties, but responsibilities too. Let's see whether or not there will be more to the topic or not. But I agree the mistresses took a very gentle path, others might have punished simply everyone involved and then some (like kicking Sarah out for breaking the rules). ❤️

Maybe. Though maybe not in the immediate future. Remy is pretty good in dealing with the problems and trauma of other slaves, but preferes to avoid his own. His answer of "quite possibly" is already more than he would normally admit; just thinking back to the start of the story (in story only two (or three?) months ago) he would have denied it.

Remy closed the door behind the last police officers and leaned against it. It was very late- or very early- and he was deeply exhausted. Somewhere behind him, Mistress Ellen, who had seen the officers off, sighed, no less exhausted. "I want to check on Cain again, but then we should all go to bed," she said quietly. Nodding, Remy turned to her. The mistresses had rushed home after the call, and he had been glad not to have to present them with an abysmal mess while leaving them in cha

Of course it was That's the good type of hope, keep it! Right? Just looking at this shows that even Anduin didn't have a great life. Doesn't erase the shit he did in the past or what he does now. Yeah that's probably a long way to go... But both their trauma roots deep. ❤️

Once in a while I have to remind you he's actually human and not some evil spawn... though I might be biased because I created him. But let's say from all the villains and antagonists I created, I dislike him the most. They did not emasculate him in the truest sense of the word, don't worry. Right now it looks worse than it is... Probably flirting instead of paying attention... You can bet your pretty ass the mistresses will take serious look before they make any decisions and they sure as hell will not listen to some woman stating "oh but he wanted it". !!!

"My father once said the most tiring thing about living with a woman is the hair," Marc said, almost thoughtfully. Remy, who was spraying the mirror with cleaner, paused and looked over at Marc, who was kneeling in the shower. "Why?" In response, Marc reached into the drain and pulled. There seemed to be no end to the mixture of hair, lint, soap residue and no clue what. "I see." "Which isn't necessarily what my father meant," Marc said, however, pulling another damp strand f

Quite right and honestly, another surprise would make it unrealistic/unbelievable. (Pssht, but this is a series, so who knows...)

@centexhairysub I like your questions, but I'm not sure we/you will get answers for all of them. The two important points are: Phoebe supported the illegal duel, but Uma was there as well and didn't help but rather hid Kate, who could have been saved. As long as Uma stays silent, the Bells/Nathan will push hard enough to get her behind bars. Consequences from the coven are a different topic.

~The Lawyer~ Although I should have expected it, I was still surprised to find that Violet had called another emergency meeting for the morning. Considering that the message had arrived at four in the morning, one could imagine what her night had been like. She looked the part when I entered the room we had used before, with its huge satellite image. Warren didn't look much better, but unlike Dust—whose blond stubble glinted in the overly bright light—at least he was clean

❤️ You will have to wait till chapter 57 to the real answer. First our boys have to face a catastrophe of different dimensions...

She will join a convent/temple school when turning ten as she wanted. Hopefully it's not like the one Remy was born into. But she should become a good priestress. Very important point. I don't think Jessy truly thought that far along, but her basic idea is great. I guess she's a decent enough person to be a better grandma than ma. Lots of folks soften up with their grandkids. Here's to hope it melts her even further! ❤️

Yes, the why and how doesn't really matter. Those friends were wondering and grieving for 16 years, but in the end our narrator was able to let go and make his "peace" with the situation.
-
Jessy entered the kitchen and stopped in surprise. She had just heard Dante and Aunt Alice talking, and now they were both gone. And she hadn't been able to find Grandpa before either. The house was big, but it wasn't supposed to eat people. She scowled, then nearly ran into Ma when she stepped into the kitchen with a clipboard and a deeply furrowed brow. "Oops, Jessy, slow down," she muttered, moving Jessy aside. "Ma, have you seen Grandpa? Or Dante?" She twirled a curl around he

I'm not sure I fully get your comment. But this is just a short story about letting friends and traditions and even grief go.

Revenge and Justice are not the Same

Dear Britney like to play with her power and who is there to contradict her? Even her mother/matriarch would need a real reason to get involved in how she punishes a slave. (Yes, it might be debatable how justified this is since he technically still a minor, but on the other hand his victim was a minor too, plus he's trained as pleasure slave as was pointed out. And I don't think Caroly has really the will to deal with this shit.) Can't disagree here. -

And here we are. Dante just came to the thought those guys are his family and now... This is not the last we heard of it, of course. -
Since the beginning of time, one question has been heatedly debated: whether men should be allowed to have sex with each other. While some point to creation, according to which men were made to serve women, others point to the sons of the Great Mother, who 'fuck like rabbits' without punishment. The answer has shifted in favor of male lust over time, mostly due to prolonged wars in which increased prayers were made to Ares, Dante, and Deimos. Especially during such times, it was popular to belie

@centexhairysub You raised a couple good questions and I hope next chapter we will answer them all. (Really, this case is taking a completely different turn than I planned, send help! 😂) -
~The Cursebreaker~ The small cabin in the far corner of the property we owned was by no means blessed with good fortune. My great-grandfather had given one of his cousins permission to build a place to stay after his release from prison, and since then the cabin had had only dubious occupants. The current one, Peter, a distant cousin on my grandmother's side, was no exception. A voyeur and stalker who had driven my mom away from Quincefield to Ashmill in the first place; why Uncle C

She has her moments... Dante is in need of having quite a few conversations. They are lining up... Let's hope no one forgets how to handle such a thing. 😅 Your time will come...
