The armchair was actually too uncomfortable and Sawyer was actually too old for such contortions, but for the life of him he couldn't bring himself to wake Dante. The latter's head rested on Sawyer's chest and it took Sawyer some willpower not to slide his hand, which was resting on Dante's side, under his sweater and caress the bare skin. It wasn't fair. But then, when was life really fair? This dark-haired mortal demigod with the sharp tongue, who was so different from all the other

She cares a lot for and about her little brother and as was said more or less clearly (like with Val) she stayed at the farm for him. Given that she gets the guardianship for him, the timing is, as you said, of the essence. How fast will that go? How fast will the others increase the pressure on her regarding Matthew? Because I do think she would like to live in a cute small town, with opportunities for Dante and Henry to grow and learn and heal, opportunities for Frank to grow. But she needs to talk to Frank for that as well. We will hear about that in a couple of chapters. Till then, maybe Dante and us piece together some theories? And it will only get worse before it gets better... muhahahah *cough* sorry, I'm afraid I work in patterns. Dark patterns. Guess I will go to the corner to be ashamed a bit?

It will get explained, but you need some more chapters of patience we officially meet someone else first. She does have her principles. I don't want to excuse her but her own mother was a real tyrant and some things do run in the family... Looks like it, right? Makes one wonder how that will go for Tom... 🙃

I would say Alice will thrive, if the new city is not too big. But Frank? I have serious doubts there. I think Henry would be already happy if he could share the room with TJ and Mickey. Or well, even a proper room with two beds only with Dante would be fine. The separation between house- and workslaves is normal and as Sawyer mentioned in other places the workslaves live even in an extra house. Interesting and potentially dangerous...? I mean, given what happened between Dante and Tom in "the past" and Sawyer's feelings, this could go sideways fast. Frank seems like the gentle giant, but he got the Mitchell-fire. When both Frank and especially Dante get over this shock, they need to have a serious talk. Because such a reaction is not normal, there must have something happened somewhere in the past. And I mean, many slaves have seen abusive behaviour between slaves or from freedman to slaves, but there is a limit. In my opinion it's a good sign that the other slaves don't shrug it off or take the free man's side out of fear. We will see in the hopefully soon future what comes from all this new happenings...

Dante rubbed his face, took a deep breath, and then entered Mistress Alice's room. Of course, he hadn't found a conversation strategy, but who said this conversation had to be right now? However, Mistress Alice, leaning at her desk and typing on her phone with a furrowed brow, certainly looked like she had something to talk about, too. He hadn't finished the thought when she raised her eyes and nodded seriously at him. "Dante, a moment, please." "Of course. What's up?" She ran a h

I think Pierre's thought of "I want to make a point in running away even though they will catch and beat me" was truly brave. What a bad truckload of shitty luck he had gotten a malfunctioning collar so they couldn't come for him... But Harlaney House is the best that could happen to him. He will get care, education, and Ellen and Therese will make sure his next mistress is a good woman. Not to forget Remy's guilty feelings towards him, he might get a treat or two out of that... As Marc said, K is his best friend Keith. Either Keith wants him back in some way or shit is hitting the fan in Black Hawk territory and they want one of their best fighters back. That is a really good question. Or, are they good for each other now, for the healing process, but bad in the long term? This country and society is based on a theocracy (turned monarchy, turned democracy). I swear to all the deities who might listen I didn't think of the Islamic world years ago when I created this universe, but nowadays there is a comparison possible. What's happening to women in Afghanistan under Taliban rule... *shudder* I mean, Dante or Remy are intelligent and "educated". Not comparible to someone out of high school, but their minds were fed. Chris from the steel mill who barely knows the world is not everywhere like his life? Sawyer, who is reasonably happy and would be completely lost given freedom? We will meet other men of course, and their views might change with time, but I don't see any seeds of revolution.

I'm afraid that's not on the agenda.... I guess we see or hear an answer next chapter...

"Gotcha." Remy fought against the darkness, against the hot-rising panic. "I go'sha, Remy..." Marc muttered, curling up around him. Remy froze. Whatever Marc muttered next was distorted beyond recognition by sleep and dialect to his ears, but when Marc kissed him- probably rather unconsciously- on the hair, the almost painful tension left his body. Strengthless as pudding, he sank down into Marc's embrace. "Go'sha..." The second syllable was already more exhale than actually
-
Like Romeo and Julia... *dramatic sigh* Well. Looking at it soberly? Remy couldn definitley pull it off to make it look that person X did it. Push him a little more and give him the opportunity and he would even kill them himself. Whether Marc could do it I actually have my doubts. He's too deep into his belated trauma response, though I guess if he sees Anduin holding a knife to Remy's throat he would still snap... ❤️

If there was one thing Remy was really glad about, it was his health. He rarely got sick, and when he did, it was usually just a mild cold. Something like that seemed to be knocking- it would fit the unsteady weather well- because there was a slight headache behind his temples and his nose and throat felt suspicious. Add to that the fact that he hadn't exactly slept well next to a restlessly sleeping Keira either, and so after the girls left for classes, he stood in the kitchen trying to come up
-
You can bet! Yes, the description/file was made for the real Remy. He was more "outgoing" (more dominant, if you like that better). Keep in mind that our Remy/Maurice took his brother's place in the last second and on a desperate decision. Right? She seems often more like the typical artist with the head in the clouds, but she is really not.

Ellen was frustrated. Not only because of the traffic she was stuck in, but especially because of the situation at home. Therese was even busier than usual. The girls seemed to form a particularly bad constellation this year. And the boys... They had worked out. Very well, in fact, and then Anduin had barged in. In all the years- decades- at Harlaney House, first still under Therese's grandmother's management, she had seen so many different slaves and stories, so many different ways of heal

I'm sorry if this is disappointing, but this short story is truly a one-shot. It's based on a dream. There is a lot of room for interpretation (look at the sparkling Twilight-vampires), so don't worry, there isn't THE lore you need to know And in this case I am content with both sides.

The black seat is warm and hard. It would seat four adults, but there are only three of us. The safety bar closes over our bellies, and Mo's tanned sinewy arms to my right tense; Bastien to my left just sits there. A signal sounds, then the roller coaster car jerks forward. We're sitting right at the front, so I can see the abyss into which we're tipping, but nothing more than a soft gasp as the steep drop presses me into the backrest escapes me, while behind us the other passengers shri

Sixteen years ago, their friend disappeared from the amusement park - no one knows where to. Since then, the remaining friends return every year on this day. Until he suddenly stands in front of them...

Important question, not easy to answer. But his sister Ava will most likely go crazy, when her brother decides to tune down his being a quasi-dad to Claudia.

In comparison Gabe's problems are just minor issues 🥴

Gabe wanted to savor the moment, the images in his mind, but the pressure inside him was killing him. His hand moved up and down his shaft in a desperate speed, squeezing, twisting, while in his mind, he was slamming into that pretty, firm ass of Sam, heard his moans and pleas. His toes curled and uncurled; a whimper escaped his lips. He imagined a drop of his cum oozing out of that not-so-tight-anymore hole of Sam, how he wiped it away with a fingertip and offered it Sam to lick. Ano

Captain America - Alex & Max

I know a couple people who got adopted as older kids and they are either putting their adoptive parents up to be saints or act as if they hate them. But I think in Max's case (and so many others) he might act unfaced because he never learned how to deal on a positive emotional level with parents. And now that they are gone, it blocks him even further. Maybe - hopefully - someone emotionally sensitive like Alex might help him in this regard. I made notes to remember to answer the question about his mom and what happened to the cup. It's actually weird how attached we can get to something as "simple" as a cup. (But god save the one who dops my favorite childhood cup!!!) Throwing books away hurts, but sometimes it's the only option. But I promise Alex will do some effort to not have them trashed. Max would never admit to need a hug or how Alex' hug actually made him feel better. We guess most likely right when we say Alex could sense that. It will come up ❤️ -
Rain and wind were whooshing around, hammering in irregular intervals against the window. Occasionally the work-out singing reached up to Max’ ears and made him grimace. He should be out there with his men, getting soaked and cold, but no, he was doing the fucking paperwork for his superior, who was a sucker for paperwork and an even bigger sucker for shoving said paperwork onto his men’s desk. A knock made him pause. “Come in.” First Lieutenant Robbins stepped into the office, salu

For this farm the best solution is probably to skip a generation in management. Granted, for that Carolyn needs to live long enough for Maisie to be grown enough to take over, but Britney would surely ruin everything. I don't think it would matter to whom the money belongs to - it would be hers to use. And what a horrible thought that she might simply send Frank somewhere, so he's out of sight, thought and just not her problem anymore? In terms of money for Matthew: It will be a nice sum all together and "to have or not to have" is a big thing. Always think pessimistic, you never know what might come later on. He has some influence Carolyn could never have, even if she was a super loving mom. But she's good at influencing people too, just through other means. Hurt feelings. She loves Blaise and seeing him choose men next to her is painful. But she loves him too much to punish him for it. And given the promise she gave to Tom's ma, how would she even? She's a woman of her word, she can't sell Tom or the like. But treating Tom like shit in turn is easy.

"Hey, TJ said he cleaned your bathroom but forgot to bring you new towels..." Dante broke off when the only response from Frank was a grumble. Frank was sitting at his desk, drawing with concentration, so Dante stowed the towels and then hesitantly approached Frank. "Can I see what you're doing?" "Hmm? Sure..." Frank nodded and leaned back, but didn't take his eyes off the paper. So with that, Dante now walked closer and took a look at the drawing, somehow not being very surprised to s

Yeah, apart Kate's father adding a big question mark, now even the rivalry between the girls got one. Maybe Kate was in such a haste to actually rescue Madeleine? We will find out. And what will Quen add? Stress on Dust 😅 that for sure. And maybe another half-heart attack for his poor lawyer. -

I'm not so sure about that, Dust is a very sweet man. Frustrated and depressed maybe, but not the type to actually lash out that bad. And to be honest, the bit of non-cursebreaker-magic he has doesn't make for a good foe either. But he has friends. And resources. So maybe he doesn't need to be super powerful. Oh, now, that's an interesting thought. That's an amazing question, my friend, and one that might cause some brotherly disagreements. Because no, he has no money. No income. No job in sight. Just a nice police record. ❤️
