Sorry for keeping you awake 😅 but seems this story is enough to stay awake some minutes more Mo might be to small a light for Finley to go that path. At least, if it stays a one-time happening... Thank you ❤ I'm afraid I have this habit 😅🤪 Thank you!

“Hey Fin, could you put the boxes in the van?” Patricia called across the entire boutique. “Sure,” I called back and reached for the keys to the van. But before I could grab the first box, my phone rang. Expecting it to be Uther, I pulled it out. Over the last few days, he had been spamming me with text snippets and photographed texts. However, I had no great desire to delve any further into the subject, especially not in such a theoretical way. To my great astonishment, however, Mothe

My summer was quite exhausting so far and I'm apologizing for not posting, while being deeply frustrated of not having the time to write in the quantitiy I would like. The next weeks should get better. Apart from that: yes. Those two each deal with quite some shit but hopefully they find a way to help each other for real, that is, more than the bits we saw already. Thank you!

In this worldbuild only the elemental guardians (dragons-fire; fey-earth/wood; dwarfs-stone/metal; etc) live really long. And especially the fae folks have a lot of subspecies who live- like so many things in nature like flowers- not exactly hundreds of years. Oh and since "unicorn" came up a time or two: unicorns are fae folk. I could say now that there is part 2 and 3 and 4 brewing in my mind, but I won't We get a happy end, I promise. Thank you!

And here I thought I finally provided some answers 😅 (or well, Uther did). And seeing what we got, I vote in the Monthly Complicated Life Award for Finley. You get your info about Finley's mother already next chapter Oh that's hilarious! Unfortunately I don't have the stable timetable to play myself but I do love "replacements" like Baldur's Gate 3. And insane gnomes sounds like several ones. I guess with increasing numbers it's not as bad losing one? Do tell me what you decided, I'm curious now! 😜😍 Thank you!

I couldn't help but snort out my amusement and a little smoke as I closed the apartment door behind me. Tony and Patricia- her scent was unmistakable, a hint of floral fragrance still hovering over it. From what I'd heard, it had taken long enough. The comedy of the situation fizzled out before I even got down the stairs, though. I felt a little sorry for Tony - and Patricia, if she was still there - to be ambushed like that, but Emmett's well-being was more important. And a murderous, ta

It would be a marriage of convenience, but since they're talking about quite some sums, the line between that and Riley's worry is a thin one. And Riley's brothers are all three not exactly the loving kind, though Eric is truely something else. You can bet Riley will not let him enter any other home. Thank you!

~Riley~ With a groan, Riley let his phone slip from his fingers onto the bed. Three hours of sleep. A sad result after all the tossing and turning and the leaden tiredness in his limbs. When was the last time he had slept well? Sometime in This Hospital, probably after they'd given him something. With a sigh, he turned onto his side, wrapped himself in his wings and closed his eyes. His sense of time was gone, his sleep rhythm non-existent. He admired Danny for his discipline when i

Let's see what we can do about it

Each deity has different expectations of their chosen ones, but they all demand devotion. Some of them reward and punish openly, others are more reserved. But anyone who has lost the favor of their deity has forfeited their place in society. Eve could sense how Adam was seething. On the outside, Adam might always seem cool and condescending, unconcerned, unimpressed, but Eve knew his brother well. He wished Beckett hadn't said anything, had kept quiet out of embarrassment. The

The Pantheon chooses those who have potential. Each Chosen has the obligation to fulfill their potential and prove themselves worthy to serve their deity. Eve trembled with shock, even minutes after he had heard the sound of the suite door closing. Half-naked as he was, he didn't dare to look. Instead, he still clutched the dress to himself and scolded himself for being an idiot for not checking before he took off his travel clothes, covered in road dust. On the other hand, were th

Thanks. Sometimes my love for complicated sentences in my mother tongue doesn't mix well with translating into English.

Magic itself is not dangerous. It is nature and nature is always in harmony with itself. Dangerous can become those who use it or fail to master it. Beckett stared at the huge ship and swallowed uneasily. As much as the metal called to him, the water on which it floated put him off. The thought of having to leave the solid ground, the earth, behind for so long did not sit well with him at all. "Mr. Carlyle, sir, the boys would be ready for your luggage." "Of course. Suite

14 days lasts the sea voyage across the ocean to the temple island. 14 days is all Eve has to find someone among the passengers who will be accepted by his deity as his spouse in order to escape life in the temple. 14 days he has to endure his violent brother in a confined space. 14 days Beckett must surround himself with suitors for the sake of his father, even though he can hardly wait to join the temple. 14 days in which his devotion to his deity is challenged by Eve's hunger for life.

I think you are still too nice, though not wrong. Brotherly relationship desaster... Thank you!

~Riley~ The frustration-breakfast with Danny had definitely been too generous, Riley thought as he landed. The thought of having lunch with his family in a few minutes made him feel a little nauseous. But Grandma insisted on the family meal on Sky Day and upsetting Grandma was anything but a good idea. With a certain wistfulness, he looked along the row of houses. Gray-brown facades with a few plants on some of the windowsills, heavy curtains behind many of the windows to block out

Well let's give the new lovebirds (Megan and Doc) their privacy for all their kink-discovery. And of course some privacy for Kai and Adam too, for their feelings to grow properly... I absolutely loved the chapter ❤️

The taint can be spread like a disease. The source can be a) an evil being "corrupting from above"; b) tainted beings/objects rubbing off (though this kind of taint can be rinsed off, so to speak, mostly it doesn't last) or c) self-taint. This can happen when creatures do things against their nature. Vegans eating too much non-vegan food, peaceful creatures resolving to violence. For Dex, it might have been a combination of all three options, with him being a cop in Vice. A deer-shifter amongst humans and probably more powerful beings, trying to fit in. The magical threshold sets itself up, even for humans, slowly over time. Most creatures able to do so will inforce it however and shape it to their needings. So Tony setting up special wards to keep Emmett safe after his ex tried to kidnap him? Definitely! Thank you all!

The feeling of safety enveloped me like a blanket. Soft like the actual blanket covering me and warm like the living pillow beneath me. Finley's couch was clearly too small for two and I was lying half on top of him. He obviously didn't mind and neither did I. He was comfortable and warm. The sound I had jokingly referred to as purring yesterday was actually more of a hiss and gurgle, accompanied by an irregular rumble. A bit like a steam boiler. This comparison and the fact that the s

I'm writing on it! Unfortunately I don't have as much time as I would like - so if I get 200 words down a day that's already a big win. Don't take it as promise, but this week sound achievable...

... Doc left me speechless. I can have quite a loose mouth myself but he made me feel like a first year elementary school kid. *sniff* Well as long as Megan likes him and Kai is ok with him... I agree with the others, after meeting Kai's siblings "in flesh and bone" I'm curious to see them meet Adam. But first things first: the phone call!

I love how open they are in their letters. As many other comments said already, a letter gives you time to choose the words and form the thoughts, but it still requires some courage to write about some of the personal stuff, especially with a still-stranger. Now I'm wondering whether Adam, a guy with so many ritualistic preparations, will be able to keep this kind of talk going when seeing face to face. The letters feel so soft and warm and flowing nice, but in a real-time conversation you don't have the time to choose the perfect word. Curious and curiouser ❤️

Oh, I'm falling for Kai ❤️ He's calling Adam vulnerable but I can see some vulnerability on him too. He's adorable *swoon* My first thought was that hopefully his protectiveness won't turn into (unwarranted) jealousy, but after the full chapter this seems unlikely.

Adam's preparations to read the letter make me smile, truely a guy for rituals; you tickle out the romantic in me, thinking how those two could build their little rituals together. Interesting and quite straightforward of Kai to ask for a picture and instantly adding his own one. I like his humor.
