Very lovely first two chapters! Excited to see where this goes, when and where and how they will meet. Just some weeks ago I bought a new proper ink-pen with some special ink to go back to proper handwriting, even if it's just my notes for my stories. If it comes to a confrontation, it smells a lot like BBQ. Though i guess not like one anyone would enjoy. (Apart maybe for Finley. Roasting enemies surely has something satisfying.) Getting corrupted and self-corruption (for example through going against the own nature). Corruption is a slow process and especially the one who embrace it are able to hide it for a long time. Knowing Finley is a trained soldier and a dragon who can spit fire even in human form this sounds like a precise and effective encounter, but who can predict the outcome in terms of collateral damage? And apart from roasted deer I don't think Emmett would like this encounter much. Emmett is something rare and precious. Finley's "wounds" are scabbed over, while Noah is still wearing a band aid. Maybe he takes it off soon, maybe not. Plus, those two have different personalities and goals.
