    Chapter 5

WOW!! I had got everything right, but... WOW!!! Simply an amazing chapter@Josh Aterovis. No wonder Amalie (the ghost) stayed in that house. Her body was still there. And she died in one of the cruelest ways possible: walled up alive.

    Chapter 4

    Sure, but I can't see a motive

    Chapter 4

And in fact, it didn't end with the discovery and burial of the baby. The little skull was partially shattered. It is unclear whether the damage is consistent with a fall down the stairs, because we must consider the partial protection provided by the mother's body. In any case, Amalie did not trip (as Judy had assumed), but was pushed. Evidently, if she hid the little body afterwards, Amalie did not die in the fall. She was murdered later. I insist on the key role of the man with the rowboat who, I insist, in my opinion, continues to be the Captain.

    Chapter 3

Wonderful job, @Josh Aterovis In my opinion, the house breathed a sigh of relief only because it was starting to get light. It's just the beginning. We have a man approaching silently in a rowboat while the only dim light comes from the cupola (which, therefore, we can assume was indeed the nursery). The man's approach causes Killian to feel a knot of terror, and therefore he must play a key role in the subsequent scenes. The next scene (Judy's dream) is frantic and confusing. Judy herself feels that something is missing. Amalie is very frightened and tries to silence the crying baby. Then Amalie runs towards the stairs. “She must have stumbled,” Judy speculates, and suddenly she was falling down the stairs with the baby in her arms. Here Judy wakes up. Whether the baby died in the fall or was already dead is another speculation. Third scene (Killian's second dream): Amalie buries the baby in the basement, digging frantically with her bare hands. It is as if Amalie is frantically trying to hide the baby, even though it is dead. Was the man sneaking up with the boat the captain? It is likely that Amalie also died that same night. If the man in the boat was the captain, he returns with the boat to the ship and, when he disembarks, “discovers” Amalie's body, having also constructed the perfect alibi.

    Chapter 1

Unfortunately, I'm afraid Seth is being punished for his forbidden intervention in the barn (“All Lost things”)

    Chapter 2

To recap Capt. Elijah Marnien died 15/10/1860 Amalie Marnien Died 16/3/1855. The captain, therefore, survived for 5 years. I agree with Judy. It is unlikely that Amalie could have committed suicide because her “beloved spouse” was late in returning. It smacks so much of a cover story. Also unlikely that there is any record of the true story in the newspapers or reports of the time. Judging from the property, the Captain was an “eminent member of society.” Moreover, Amalie's presence and attempt to communicate with Killian could mean that she wants the real story to be known. Did the Captain surprise Amalie with the child and, knowing it was not his, went for the kill? Who? Amalie, the child, or both? However the child first, it would explain Judy's perception on the stairs: "I felt mourning, too. And..." "And what?" "I don't know. Whatever it is, it's a part of the steps now, like a psychic stain." We will get some clue from the date of the child's death when that grave is cleared of brambles and the Angel will reveal what he Is keeping. @Josh Aterovis I have to say It. I love your stories and the way you write them.

    Chapter 2

A baby. Perhaps an infant. Amalie's child that no one knew about. It is the third grave, the one with the Angel. Killed on those stairs. Still, at least whoever carved the grave with the Angel must have known (Amalie's lover?). Did Amalie often stay in the cupola because it was the nursery and/or to know when her lover had to disappear?

    Chapter 20

Suspense to the end, right @Josh Aterovis? By the way, why are your books no longer available on Amazon?
  11. refueling835

    Chapter 19

I, too, would like to know who killed Marco (I can't believe he committed suicide) and why. And how did Caleb get Finn involved? 🧐
  12. refueling835

    Chapter 19

So Caleb and Finn To many of us these two have stunk for a long time. It's great that @Josh Aterovis can create such compelling twists and turns, even in the face of suspicion

    Chapter 17

    Don't tell me he'll get killed 😑
  14. refueling835

    Chapter 17

And so I was right: Micah was going to be the one to pull the brake and he is here to stay. It was obvious. Seth would never have pushed him toward Micah if it wasn't so.
  15. refueling835

    Chapter 16

All I will say is that one of these guesses just might be not too far off the bulls-eye. Be sure to read The Truth of Yesterday, the next full book in the series, to find out which one... 😉 Okay. And so we have confirmation that Micah will be a regular presence for quite a while. If he is not a designated culprit for the future as well, this means that the relationship with Killian is not a flying one 🥸
  16. refueling835

    Chapter 16

Totally agree. And I think it'll Micah the one who will pump the brakes
  17. refueling835

    Chapter 16

I don't think so. Seth wouldn't have pushed Killian to go on a date with Micah if there had been the slightest problem. Of course, if @Josh Aterovis made Killian wear Seth's shirt and chain, there must have been a reason. We'll see what it is. Killian drank from Micah's glass. He couldn't have been drugged. And Micah seems to have behaved like a true gentleman. Caleb... Caleb is a manipulator. From the confrontations with Ascher and Killian, it's clear that lying comes naturally to him and that he has anger issues. Even if he didn't kill his father directly, I don't think he's completely innocent. By the way, I don't think it's been clarified yet who the sperm in the condom found in the barn belonged to. Another fuck buddy? And was Marco killed because he might have seen him too? I think the foster home still has something to tell us. Maybe the adopted boy?
  18. I have a feeling that Josh is the encrypted decryption key to decrypt Cerberus (uhm... maybe that came out a little confusing?)
  19. refueling835

    A New World

Funny. Walter Green says "I know what you are", instead of "Who".
  20. The plot thickens and I'm loving It. So the other patient was indeed related to the Carrington-Lindsey incident. The third missing person, Parks, even. It seems clear at this point that encrypting Cerberus was an extreme attempt to secure information. Corrupted FBI, presumably, (Josh's internal “voice” not to trust FBI, the “extraction” from the Carrington-Lindsey house). But what were they all doing on the same street? Where were they headed?
  21. refueling835

    Perturbed

Had the patient in room 617 been, by any chance, admitted the same night or the next day as Josh? Was he driving the car that ran the Carrington-Lindsay's off the road and was he “cleaned up”? What is certain is that Josh drew quite a bit of unwanted attention to himself. I look forward to reading the next chapter.
  22. Congratulation @Laura S. Fox. Great chapter, as usual Now let's try to recap: 1) Danny bit, nibbled, and licked Ryder's shoulder 2) Ryder covered Danny's eyes to prevent him from seeing his eyes change again 3) Danny scratched Ryder's chest in the exact same spots where he had been scratched by Theodore (which wouldn't heal), giving Ryder a new sensation. Now, let's suppose that, unbeknownst to him, Danny is also a Wolf (perhaps adopted at an early age because he was abandoned or orphaned). When Ryder covers Danny's eyes to prevent him from seeing his eyes change color, but Ryder can't see Danny's eyes either. Who knows, maybe Danny's eyes had changed color too? Will Ryder find himself with a new scar on his shoulder that won't heal, while Theodore's scratches healed? Instead of being the powerful Alpha to mark Danny, the opposite happened, and they are already mated, but they don't know it yet?
