Dots began to appear on the projected map, grouped in clusters of five, distributed evenly across the slopes surrounding the basin. These represented the seven factions, each marked in their respective colors. Briefly, a live feed focused on one of the teams' leaders--Piqsirpoq, whose icy eyes scanned left and right, issuing commands with calm authority. From the information given earlier, I knew that the preliminary round was a free-for-all points competition. Within a limited time, teams

Chapter 3 - Bread and Circuses 3.2
RedMoon commented on RedMoon's story chapter in Chapter 3 - Bread and Circuses 3.2
@akascrubber Qana is simply continuing their sword training in the evening to keep Richter from being too reluctant to participate in the Selection. Because of this, it's a one-on-one lesson. -

Chapter 3 - Bread and Circuses 3.1
RedMoon commented on RedMoon's story chapter in Chapter 3 - Bread and Circuses 3.1
Thank you! The answers will gradually be revealed throughout Richter's journey. All the mysterious figures and organizations will eventually make their appearance—it'll just take some time. -
Apparently, everyone had already left early to secure their spots, so there wasn't a single person in the capsule station. I found the platform heading towards the "Colosseum" and watched the white, streamlined capsule silently glide through the vacuum coil tube, stopping in front of me as the tube's opening and the capsule's door simultaneously opened. The seats were quite comfortable, the kind that made you sink in and never want to leave. This was my first time using the capsule high-spe

I really appreciate you pointing that out! While researching, I came across some sources whose reliability I wasn’t entirely sure of, but there was indeed something related to "Judge." I think this will come up in the story much later down the line.

Thank you so much for your appreciation! I'll also make time to read more of your work—who could resist Space Opera and Military Sci-Fi elements?

Most of the time, Richter's fleet missions are about power projection displays, which means a lot of moving around without much direct action. As for the real mission, that will be explained much later.

I found Truckin' on YouTube, and it seems pretty interesting!

Bread and Circuses: The Colosseo cheered equally for barbarism and civilization. I opened my eyes and wiped the damp corners. I had already forgotten the dream's content, but somehow, I felt much more comfortable inside. I sat up, yawned, stretched my body, and glanced at the slightly bright bluish-purple sky outside the window. I had slept longer today. As usual, I silently turned over and got out of bed. The moment my feet touched the floor, I released the tension in my l

Yes, this chapter attempts to depict their emotional connection and the possibility of empathizing with each other. However, some things take time to slowly break the ice.

Richter is not exactly known for his communication skills. Having been ostracized by the group for as long as he can remember, it’s unlikely that he would be adept at socializing or handling interpersonal issues. So, for things to progress, a considerable cooling-off period might be necessary.

My name: For some people, this question is difficult to answer simply. "...Five people are working on the trolley car tracks, the noise of the construction is so loud they don't notice the trolley car in the distance..." Luther raised his hand to ask a question, and I nodded, giving permission. "What is a trolley car ?" he asked, looking puzzled in a somewhat cute way. "Let's change to a more appropriate scenario for the times," I said, pacing back and forth as I thoug

I might find a way to introduce this series in more detail when I have more free time, either in this story's discussion section or on a blog. Storm Wolf is actually a side story, primarily meant to explain the worldbuilding of the main series. Due to a somewhat complicated reason (which I'll probably explain after Book One is finished), I needed to complete Storm Wolf first rather than the main story. As for the main story, each of the five protagonists has their own short prequel story to help introduce readers to the world and characters. This collection of prequel stories is called The Pale Blue Dot, which I will start uploading on GA after Storm Wolf Book One is completed. The Pale Blue Dot contains glimpses of events from later in the story, so readers will get to see some of the characters' fates in advance. The Pale Blue Dot was actually written first. This means that depending on the order in which they read the series, different readers will have slightly different experiences. However, the general consensus among readers is that Storm Wolf is the best entry point for those new to this story universe. That’s why I ultimately decided to publish Storm Wolf first.
-
You could say that the paths they’ve chosen are completely different, even though they will walk side by side for a while longer. I post Storm Wolf in GA first instead of The Pale Blue Dot, so readers might be less clear about the future direction. Simply put, their paths will eventually diverge, but that will take quite some time.
-
This is simply a different path. Richter won't take the Selection route—he doesn't even intend to live within the pack.

This whole day, I truly understood for the first time what it meant to be mentally exhausted--there was no issue with physical activity, but I lacked the desire to drive my body. Obviously, retracting my consciousness circle was also something that drained my spirit. When the training ended, Qana was a bit surprised that I managed to maintain this state for so long. The small acknowledgment from the swordsmanship master made me feel somewhat elated. Because of this, Qana allowed me to use m

At dusk, my energy had mostly recovered, but since endurance has never been my strong suit, I fell behind during our daily cross-country run, ending up as the last one in the group. The setting sun cast a golden glow on the snow, its dazzling reflection on the mountain walls made me squint my eyes. I've never been fond of winter. It might sound odd for a grey wolf with three layers of fur to say this, but I really hate the cold. Not feeling cold and feeling comfortable are two differen

This experiment seems a bit inhumane for the cat. But I suppose as long as the box remains unopened, no one will complain.
-
The cat in the basket will inevitably run out sooner or later. But let me give you a little spoiler—that won't happen for quite some time.
-
There will be a short passage like this before each new chapter. The reason these passages appear is actually an important piece of foreshadowing, making it difficult to directly explain what they are. However, the way to identify them is that these segments will not be labeled as "chapters." I'll give it some more thought on how to present them in a way that minimizes confusion.

In reality, wolves that tend to avoid conflict by adopting a submissive posture are more likely to be accepted as leaders within the pack. As for the story—this is, after all, a long-form coming-of-age novel—Richter will gradually find his own way.
