  1. Thanks for letting us in on this gritty and fulfilling story. Having Owen's and Margot's mothers taking baby steps in making contact was a relief. Now Ryder, Margot, Owen and Jules can just roll into their future without the chaotic cloud over their heads. Here's to the four having full lives. Extremely talented writing.
  2. It could have been a lot worse. Still not a strike of kindness lightning where everyone woke up after being stung by the bolt and had a come to Jesus epiphany, but real. Dad. Dad lives in a real little world where the funeral business is the family. The family are just cogs in a machine. As long as the cogs work smoothly that's all that matters. In removing the college funds from Owen he has for the time being removed Owen from the machinery, thus from the family. With time, there's hope he can broaden his world enough to accept Owen's path doesn't mean he's a cog of the machinery but a caring valuable human being who can contribute to the family as a son. Eric's reaction was heartfelt. I get the disappointment and hurt on his part. At least he was accepting of the life Owen wants to lead. Seems there will be a continuation of Eric in Owen's life. Mom. Expectations crushed. She showed her love of Owen in the only way it was possible for her. That's important. Ryder was exceptional. Just being there in the Ryder way waiting and for two hours. Perfect. Owen. He did it! Not wavering. Taking the bull by the horns and riding it out with honesty and poise. It was painful and sadly needed for Owen to lead his life on his terms. As painful it was for Margot, Owen and Ryder to survive their upbringing, they faced the situation as best as they could and came out into true reality. The pain will linger, but it's gotta be a relief. What a story!
  3. It's been a while since I got wrapped up in a story. I dunno why, but when Paige's wedding was the location for the big reveal, I had trepidation. I need to apologize to mastershakeme for making a deal out of that. There's no way I could write anything as well as this story. My apologies. The whole wedding/reception thing turned out perfect. There wasn't really any grandstanding the way I read it. It happened after the ceremony and well into the reception. Even Ryder turning up late was poignant. Come hell or high water he showed up. Now for the wrap up. I betcha it's gonna be a doozy in an ultimately good way
  4. I didn't realize Jules and Margot hadn't met face to face before. Crazy time for a first meeting. The summit seemed to go well. Almost too well, lots of things could go haywire, but it wouldn't be an interesting story if it was all unicorns and pixie dust. I'm having trouble with the venue for the big reveal. Seems a little selfish to grandstand a wedding reception. You'd think that there is going to be another gathering of both Owen's and Margot's family .in the not too distant future that wouldn't create negative drama.
  5. Cheerful and positive Eric seems to have seen a crack in the planned partnership with Owen in the funeral business. I got a little nervous about his reaction when Owen asked for a day off. At the risk of sounding sappy, the Ryder/Colin reunion was heartwarming. Ryder giving Owen credit for the reunion was poignant. Up to now I got the idea that Ryder was giving side of support for Owen. It was good to see Ryder recognizing Owen for his part in getting the reunion to happen. Now the summit is a complete mystery. It could go a whole lot of ways. Jules is kind of an enigma.
  6. Independence Day. This might lead to multiple actions of independence for a lot of the characters. Margot took the bull by the horns and contacted Ryder. I'm glad Ryder has an idea what Owen is dealing with. To be a fly on the wall for that conversation. Is Ryder censoring his anger about Owen's situation by ending the conversation a good idea? I've done that in the past when I've lost it. While it's kind of avoiding the situation, it worked for me. How? It gave me a chance to sort things out after the anger had subsided. I hope the Ryder, Owen, Margot, and Jules pow wow is still a go.
  7. I don't know much about Jules. How about Jules and Ryder discover they're both bi and fall for each other, Leave Margot and Owen in the dust. Margot and Owen can live their faux engagement. Even get married. It might be the only way to shock Margot and Owen into what the actual consequences of this shitshow. Who knows? Maybe Margot and Owen both deep down are actually more willing to live in the sanctuary of mainstream straight life with their families comfort and financial safety.. Sex might be problematic, but they won't be the first to tackle that. Ok, that was off the wall. Wouldn't mind seeing that happen though. Glad Ryder didn't create a scene. Owen would have had a meltdown that might have not been recoverable.
  8. If the fair cluster is any clue, Ryder might show up and create drama, but will ride away at the last minute. I hope it goes that way.

    Chapter 1

What about the Tyler/Taine getting married prophecy? Or did I have an unsettling dream? Too lazy to go through all the books to find out exactly when it was said or who said it.

    Chapter 15

I dunno. My guess is that Marc is going to really mess up.
