Interesting Hylas, I've found that many of the Filipino I know actually have fairly Americanised accents, although as you said many are quite neutral, with a hint of asian if that makes any sense And tlwritingtiger, Sydney is also quite renowned for it's mardi gras, but from what I've seen can't compete with Rio for sheer size, however Sydney does have quite an impressive "Gay district" with many nightclubs and bars, perhaps a Sydneysider can back me up?

I believe Sydney is the self-professed gay capital of the southern hemisphere, Queensland gay? HAH, more like redneck central (I kid I kid Queenslanders, but many aren't exactly tolerant, I think it's the rugby ) Queensland is "the Sunshine State" of Australia, even though Western Australia I believe recieves far more sunshine (a few major deserts), ironic given the torrential flooding they are experiencing at the moment.

Well that certainly is an interesting spin on it Graeme I've noticed some subtleties in accent change when speaking to Victorians and Queenslanders before, and you must surely be JOKING about the Kiwi accent, can spot it a mile away, all a's are i's and i's are o's

And don't forget Safin either, gotta love watching him play, most amazing semi-final against Fed in 05, Fed had match point, opted for a fancy between the legs shot instead of a straightfoward passing shot, missed it, ended up losing the match, Safin ends up beating Hewitt in the final. Roddick was demolished at last years Open, felt sorry for him

I believe Federer will again win 3/4 Grand Slams this year, and the only way he is going tin the French is if Nadal mysteriously gets injured, because he is as close to unbeatable on clay as Federer is on grass. Federer for Mens and...no idea for womens, it's a surprise every year, Henin is the safe option, although Serena Williams does love playing at Melbourne Park... All aboard the Fed express!

Federer is the most breathtaking player I have ever seen and does ridiculous things with ease, I can only hope he finally wins a French one of these days, I hope this year is the Grand Slam for him. Look to see Novac soon overtake Nadal Novac is better looking in my opinion too, I don't buy into the whole exotic thing Rafa has going

Definitely Irish, ours is horrible, you probably only hear the more refined version or the ridiciulously stereotyped version of the Aussie accent overseas, personally I find our accent pretty crude and unsophisitcated Especially Queenslanders.
