Does Nifty even have a forum for their authors to discuss things? cause I never saw one. To be able to talk with the authors about stories and the way their written is valuable to any aspiring author. I came from nifty TO HERE and havent been back yet... odd I guess. As others have said, why not just post your stories in more then one place. Ya post it to the mega giant Nitfy for coverage, then also post it at GA (or some other small community of like minded writers, if your insisting on burning your bridges here). Id hate to think of the very first community like this that I ever had the courage to join, breaking up so soon after. As far as the feedback vrs number of Hits argument.. I dont think Im the only freak out here, theres a LOT of us that are very quite and withdrawn, who may never write in a proper feedback. But just by the number of hits it should be obvious that your stories are being read and appreciated. Is that not enough? ~Umbathri

I expected The Quite Man to be that harder of the 2 quotes... yes it was from 1952. I never planed to make it a habit to quote ancient movies =) but this one had special meaning for me. Nothing like a quite St. Pattys day, dozen or so friends drinking, with home made cornd beef and cabbage, just sit back and watch The Quite Man. Havent done it in several years, but its a fun time. 70's+ sounds fine to me. someone toss a couple mroe out there.

I never worked fast food, But I did work in the kitchen of a rest home. And 3 of my (too many) roommates worked fast food during college. They did bring home food occasionally but nothing like mass quantities. But going into the place and ordering a couple burgers and walking out with bags full did happen a couple times. So they didnt abuse the workplace too much, but we did plenty of other ...unspeakable things. From my perspective, doing it for the good of the store is not a valid reason... unless its like a family business. But doing it for yourself cause possibly loseing your job could have dire consequences, could be. I personally wouldnt have told, but that doesnt mean much. He confided in you... be mindful of where that can lead... Its one of those circumstances where I would say telling Mike would do more harm then good.
