  1. Tiana could be mistaken (Gasp)
  2. If it's confirmed it's not Ritchie, Then my second guess wouldn't be Alec. It would be the guy Justin got beat up by before he was turned, the one Trevor tracked down for Justin to feed on. Then again, My sense of literary irony could be completely off
  3. When looking for a new story to read, I generally look for something looooong. 300k+ is good, 1Mb+ is better I read very quickly, and I hate having to wait for another chapter. It's for that reason I also prefer graphic novels to comic books, but I digress. There's also something about story size that speaks to an author's dedication. That's not saying I don't read short stories by good authors though.
  4. One thing that I think a number of people would find helpful is an advanced search feature. Unless I'm missing it, you can only search based on a single parameter. I've had occasions where I wished I could refine the search results. For example, I've wanted to search for completed Sci-fi stories, sorted by rating. Just a suggestion. Thanks for listening.
  5. Thanks for the welcome, guys. I'm from the US State of MD, and am a fan of a number of authors found here, especially Comicality and dkstories. I'm also currently considering trying my hand at a few pieces of fiction myself. We'll see what happens.
  6. I think they'll leave it like that for a while at least.
  7. I'd have to say "no". Even today, there are far more people "in" than "out", and the stories I've encountered reflect that. Besides, the public coming out isn't the only drama possible in a gay-themed story. There's the internal realization and acceptance of who one is. And in my opinion, that's where the good stories help. Looking back, I kinda knew I was bi at 11, only really got curious at 17, and only came to real internal acceptance at 22. How's that for a journey?
  8. Heh. I read this week's topic before this one's. I'd say that all stories do communicate a bit of the author's personality. The better ones communicate more. Or rather, the ones that don't communicate anything give the indication that the author is either shallow or unskilled in communicating those details that make a story more than a dry fictional history.
  9. A few random observations... Some stories do cross that line. When I come across one that does, I generally don't read any more of it. The personality and character of an author can't help but come through in his or her writings. There is a difference between someone writing from a 16 yo point of view and someone voyueristically portraying sex just for people to get off. If it feels like I'm getting a glimpse into the mind of a real creep, it makes me a little sick. What draws me to the stories I do enjoy is the plot, character development, and other elements that are present in all good fiction. That's what separates Comicality and a number of other authors from the pack. I'd much rather read about Justin learning more about his unique abilities in Gone from Daylight than endless declarations of just how big some one-dimensional 14 yo guy's dick is in the average "f**K story".
  10. Actually, I get the feeling that Ritchie is Rage. /me shrugs
