  1. My, another August birthday! Congratulations
  2. My uni days are far and away. I stopped after a Master's in my specialty after a Master's in History. Now I'm retired, and doing a graduate course in net surfing.
  3. How cute! - and so close to reality!
  4. Why thank you! Thank you all! I had a great birthday with 40 or so of my nearest and dearest friends and relatives! Even Thorns was there! He stayed for a few days too, and we had a wonderful time discussing writing and stories
  5. Hey Frankenfurter : Word to the wise - never open a file with attachments from someone you don't know! Nasty surprises abound from that sort of thing! Freedom
  6. Yeah Interesting definitely doesn't cover it. It seems nothing is covered!
  7. Looking forward to reading this one - it's on my list! I also loved The Quarry. A little improbable in spots, but I felt I knew those boys. Driver's great strength is his ability to characterise. Plot development too! Just a little tighter editing would make perfect!
  8. I couldn't agree more! I would have liked longer chapters - all those short ones were an irritant. Driver has a good ear for the modern boy, I think.
  9. Sorry to hear that! Keep us posted of new chapters!
  10. A Younger Oregony is one of my very favourites (tt) It's on IOMFATS.
  11. It's on my list! Soon!
  12. I go for Modern, and I agree with FT, about setting Modern in my own growing up years. I find I don't do modern teens all that well, except those in Ned's Locket (and they live in their tiny perfect world) Historical turns my crank too, but not much on line, because the writers don't bother to research their periods well. Books well - I will read darn near anything that catches my eye! Even cereal boxes
  13. for me I like novella or novel length. But the major point in my reading is COMPLETE novels. I hate the serialisation aspect (especially those which do not update for months) That being said, I am following: Silent Violin W.A.R. (a pretty good serial in YF, which has gone from bb to tt, and is almost finished) Plan B (I started reading this thinking it was complete; it's not. C'mon Driver!)
  14. Goodness Gracious! Here's my old friend Teddy Bear! If you need help reading my stories are great too! See them here! Now Teddy, we must behave ourselves here, mustn't we? Ahem
  15. He lost me for a few chapter but is back on track with the latest one I think. I really like stories with plot! Freedom
