  1. Didn't Brett say he was kind of forced into retirement from Thompson because Thompson wanted him to make up his mind earlier instead of waiting like most people would for another month or so (like Brett normally does, right before [maybe a week before] draft day), just so they're still not wrapped up in what happened last year, how their body is feeling, etc... If that's the case, when Brett finally thought about it and wanted to come back, obviously by then it was too late, so the only correct move would've been to trade him, which they did.
  2. 'Nother couple good ones: Now watching those isn't going to make me go out and get a Visa (already done, haha....), but it's a commercial that's uplifting. Even if you don't buy the product, if it's uplifting, perhaps it helps get you out of a foul mood, perhaps it makes your day, gives you a new perspective, strengthens your convictions (as anyone who plays sports, those two commercials would really give you something to drive for), then isn't it worth it? I think so. I always thought these two were pretty entertaining as well: Not that a condone drug use, but can you imagine watching that while on PCP? That'd be crazy.
  3. I find it entertaining. Not a great commercial, like, one you'd want to watch over and over, but I like the tune. Not even for the product, I just like the tune. I know out of all those I posted, that one would get the flak. All the other ones are gold.
  4. Hey, if he wants to go play somewhere else, the Packers should honor that wish, but Brett should also realize that it's not going to be at Minnesota. I think that's why he's finally agreeing to open talks with the Bucs now.
  5. Hopefully these can change your mind: Now I'm sure you mean in general, as these are plucked from the thousands and thousands of commercials out there, but I'm a glass half-full kind of guy. A half-full glass of corrosive acid goes a long way towards making one's point. Of course some commercials are funny because they don't have anything to do with what they're trying to sell. But you're right, some commercials just leave you saying "What the fudge" Although, any commercial that starts off by saying "It's new and improved" it's usually something I don't need anyways, so I just ignore it, change the channel, leave the room, etc...
  6. Hope so, but what does that do to Aaron Rodgers psyche? Furthermore, a few people are still saying the Packers are going to wait until just before the opener to deal Favre (likely to Minnesota), because then he won't have as much time to get used to the system and players (timing is cruical afterall).
  7. It's because they're afraid of the gay banditos
  8. It means what it means
  9. Benji obviously isn't, but I think the others that responded know what they're talking about
  10. He should have stayed, but once he said he'd retire - whether he was somewhat forced or not - and then had the itch to play again, he shouldn't be allowed back to the Packers. The reason being is obvious, they had already moved on, Aaron Rodgers started taking control of the team, to allow him back would be disaterous. If he wants to play again though, he should be traded. Smart move would be to a team that'd be willing to give up a first round pick or two, and a second round pick. Regardless of who he goes to, the potential in return would help the Packers more than any other team.
  11. Not sure if you've ever played the game Diablo II, but there's a great line in there when you get to fight Diablo, Lord of Terror, and that is, "Not even death can save you from me." I think it could fit in one of the chapters somewhere, maybe during a certain meeting between some unnamed characters.
