Hmm.... still not liking Pete. Too into himself and likes to play too many games RED FLAG! IMO I guess my age is showing 🤔

Okay...I guess I should have held my post from the last chapter when I asked about Mike. Now that a little more about his character is known, he reminds me of the older gay guys I knew when I was growing up - married with children and running to the park at night or the adult bookstore to get their jollies before heading back to their "straight" lives and living a totally fk'd up existence because of society's non-acceptance of homosexuality. This really hit home:

Is it just me or is there something about Pete that is just "slimy limey" ? 🤮 Maybe it is because he reminds me of another Brit from my uni days way back when that I keep wanting to slap Corbin with a wet noodle and get him away from this guy before it is too late. I also thought the interaction between Nick and Pete - what little there was - was unique and foreshadowing (?) Hmm.... This Mike guy is intriguing although we haven't really been given much in terms of his character. I hope he is not the perpetual closet case that some of us always feel attracted to.🙁 Overall, I am enjoying this well-written story and look fwd to the surprises that may lay ahead.

I am actually enjoying the disconnect between the chapters. It reminds me of other stories I have read which had chapters that seemed to be going in each and every way until the end when everything came together and made perfect sense. This might just be the case here. I hope this story does not leave me dangling with too many unanswered questions. (unless of course the author has planned this as a part of series with a couple of more stories to follow that will tie everything together- hint! hint! )
