    Stop Trolling Me

Why did I suddenly get an image of Mrs. Slocombe, “Today is a very special day… Today's the day my pussy comes of age.” (Are You Being Served) 🙀 And this had me cracking up: 🤣
  2. I am so glad I found this story after its completion. Reading the comments and feedback is almost as entertaining as the story. Almost.... 🤪

    Fetch!

Those of us who are old enough remember the joys of changing cloth diapers with those darn pins and washing them instead of just dumping them in a diaper pail for later disposal. The good thing with the cloth ones was that parents were quick to potty train compared to today where I have seen 5 and 6 yr olds still in pampers! 😠
  4. Especially at Hallowe'en when they can get in touch with their more "feminine side" or more S/M side without being judged...too much! 😜 Freddie/KISS and the others just made it more mainstream acceptable and then the early 80's with Devo (Whip It), Frankie Goes to Hollywood, etc.

    No Big Deal

I know I'm coming to this story late but I'm actually glad because in between shovelling snow I am able to read it and won't have to wait impatiently for the next chapter to be posted. I'm thoroughly enjoying this even though all the talk about crypto currency and mining etc leaves me in the dark. And yes, I have also had persons with knowledge trying to explain the concept to me, but I just can't get it. But then, I learned about computers by filling out little cards and taking them to another room to have them read and then going to another large room to get the print-out; repeat, rinse, and recycle ad nauseam! Any mistake in a for-next loop would take hrs to find and correct printing out all of those damn cards again. Computer classes in the mid 70's - ugh! However, I digress... Great story and looking fwd to binge reading it.
  6. This chapter was filled with zingers from top to bottom - thanks for the laughs. I must admit, however, that when I read: it brought me back to 1973 and "The Odd Couple" in Season 3: "My Strife in Court" (and now I'm aging myself 😎)
  7. I so agree with you here! 👏 And where I am living right now, it seems I can't get away from them. I have even older guys my age with grey hair or barely any hair using the bun to cover up bald spots on the top of the head.🤮

    Chapter 2

I don't know, maybe I have a sick sense of humour but I am finding this quite funny. 😂 😂👏👏 Oh, I can so relate to this. When I was working at a college, all of the different offices were behind coded doors and we had to memorize a half-dozen codes just to be able to talk to our various department heads and their assistants. To make matters worse, they changed the codes every three months so if you were away sick or on vacation and you came back, you would be locked out of the departments until the security guard gave you the codes. I am really enjoying this story. 👍

    Chapter 1

I read this over the phone to a friend and after both of us were finished laughing, she said quite solemnly, "I can really see this happening. In fact, my ex and I were very close to doing the same thing to each other but he knew I was stronger than him." 😂 But honestly, this is a really good start and I look fwd to the continuation. 👏
  10. Thank you for the much-needed laughs. Do you know where I can hire a Dr. Rusty? 😝 Calling Dr. Rusty; calling Dr. Rusty... your new patient is waiting! 🤩

    The Engineer

Thanks for the memory! My father used to buy that for our Sunday dinners back in the early 70's and we lived in rural Alberta - not a place one would find a great selection of wines, especially back then. This was a great chapter and you weave so much into the story that it leaves one wanting more and more and more. 😛 I'm not only looking fwd to reading more of the future of this family, but also catching up on the past - the time in between the Mexico posting and the mayoral campaign. Something big happened in Cuba and I can't wait for that tale to be told. 🤞
  12. Loved this quote. ♥️
  13. Interesting... his mood swings in the first story made me think of a brain tumour and now it is confirmed. Not good news for one so young.

    NB Chapter 23

Didn't Tom and Margaret already "meet" Sebastian and the boys when they were visiting Australia? Or is this just Australia-speak for having a talk?

    NB Chapter 16

Thankfully finally seeing Huon act with the maturity of someone his age should possess. I guess sometimes it takes a hard knock on the brain for people to act in a sensible way (this time a fall to cause the knock)!

    NB Chapter 14

The mood swings and irrational behaviour seem to indicate that there is something seriously wrong with Huon - perhaps a hormonal imbalance or even a brain tumour? Anyways, even before this fall he should have had a rigorous physical exam and/or psychological counselling. And for a student smart enough to be in 2nd yr vet studies he does the following: Something does not seem to mesh between his supposed intelligence and his behaviour- maybe another Elon Musk? 😝

    NB Chapter 10

I don't know how Huon was treated by his parents before their deaths but he certainly seems to be a spoiled brat. By 18, you would think he would have grown a set and acted like an adult. If anything, the way the character development is going, I actually despise the guy and want him to receive his comeuppance for his diva-like attitude and the way he treats others. This irrational fear and running away seems a constant theme for the author; is there a reason for it as it appears in more than one story?

    Surv Chapter 14

I was thinking along the same lines. I can't stand teens - especially those soon to be adult and in this case adult enough to be joining the army as well - to be acting like a 5-yr old child. 😠 The whole scene brought back memories of one of the last classes I taught in which a 14yr old girl started jumping up and down and throwing a temper tantrum because I had asked her to move away from a friend with whom she was always talking. I was shocked in watching this display. I mean, this girl was jumping up and down clenching her fists like you see cartoon babies doing. She was not in a "special" stream now was there any indication of behavioural problems. However, when I finally was able to meet her parents, I understood where the lack of maturity came from. Sad but true story...
  19. I am enjoying your story more and more. I really like the way you integrate the Italian in so that the reader is subconsciously learning it! 👏 I have watched the captioned version of il giovane montalbano serie over and over - not just because I find the main character to be hot 😍- but I have found that it is a way to pick up on the little nuances of a language. The way you add the Italian in the story does this as well and you have also explained how the language is used in different context from what one would normally be taught formally. Again thanks for posting this entertaining story.

    Chapter 3 of 16

In 1985 I flew into Mazatlan, Mexico from Montreal, Can. on a $99 return flight. I had 2 weeks off work and I packed a backpack and away I went. I had 200.00 US on me and I had the best time. I met a handsome Mexican on the beach; he invited me to see his family and I traveled all around Sinaloa State with my "2-wk Mexican lover". Your story has me re-living this wonderful time of my life; thank you. I look fwd to reading more of Phil's adventures.

I just saw this. "Year, not years" - Phew! 😇 "A story within the years since" Please 🙏

    Reassurance

Okay, I don't even know where to start. For me, Pete brings back disturbing memories; memories of a guy who I basically sold my soul for (giving up family, friends and profession) and who, while swinging an ax at me was telling me how much he loved me but he wasn't leaving me but taking me with him. Thank God for my dog who saved me from this! But I had had warnings - just like Corbin has had the warnings from Pete and his behaviour. I can't trust the Pete in this story but unfortunately, I think Corbin is going to fall back in the same pattern and will be burned again. I guess some of us need to touch the hot stove burner quite a few times before we learn the lesson. At the same time, I'm envious of Corbin. He has all of these choices - Mike, Pete, Lee, David, and poor Nick. And how many others? I wasn't so lucky to have better choices around me. So, instead of choosing to be alone, I made the bad choice over and over and over again. It is just so very frustrating to see him with these better guys (IMO) ready to jump and be with him, he heads once again towards Pete. Grrrr...

    Hall Pass

The one thing that keeps going through my mind over and over again is that Corbin seems to want pursue a relationship and yet he keeps being hung up with Pete. an exchange student who will leave the country as soon as his time is up. Why put all of that effort into that? And Pete is so wishy-washy - I'm not gay but I get to decide who you may or may not fuck...Really? Why does Corbin put up with that shit and why does he run back to him? Grrrr!

I was taking a good mouthful of rum and coke and this line just made it come right up through my nose 😂 Classic!

    Thanks, Friend

The more I read this the more I really think you should rename your story "Agent Chaos" 😝 I am enjoying your story as it is a complete opposite of my own 'mundane' Canadian university experience in the early '80's. While those in this story participated in parties galore, my experiences were in anti-apartheid demonstrations, pro0solidarity marches, peace sit-ins, ACT-UP activities, etc. I somehow missed the alcohol fueled parties and social activities that the younger generation of gay students were/are involved in so I really appreciate reading this and seeing university life through a different lens.
