Chapter 6. Relaxed and satisfied after sharing a steaming hot meal of interesting and very tasty food, Kieran watched Mr B and Tan carry a big log from the stack that four of Makelan’s helpers had built while everyone was eating. Evidently there was a settlement of some kind close by for people associated with Makelan, and different groups had arrived with supplies to make the visitors welcome. Nathan, obviously recovered from his brain fade, was talking excitedly with Woor

Lol! We can only hope!!! Experience is right - except that it's coming too fast to assimilate properly, let alone understand.
-
Wow! Thanks for the kind words about 'Trouble Plus Trouble'. Lol! Tickling does feature in it quite a bit. It puzzles me that tickling isn't in a lot more stories.
-
Lol! - compounding conundrums. 🦈🦈🦈
-
I reckon you're right on all counts. Kieran does rush into things sometimes so let's see what happens. 'Ruthless' - well, Makelan sure doesn't have much time for her.
-
Wow! Thank you. Kind Sir.
-
Lo! She's not coming across very well - that's for sure. Hmm! Interesting thought. - I can't recall anywhere in 'Widderkin' or 'VOE' where Ranevargar says anything about an alternate Realm setup. I suspect it will blow his mind.
-
I'm delighted that you enjoyed this little story. Lol - Where would we be without our imaginations?

Chapter 5. Kieran sent the Sea Eagles ahead. Their superior vision, linked with his own judgement, would quickly assess any possible landing spots. Hmm! That was interesting. Both eagles were registering an inclination to follow the smaller right arm. A closer look at their memories might be worthwhile. Michael's mental call interrupted that. "Kieran! The new orcas remember this place and they’re telling Pod Momma to be ready to run … I wish I could talk to them directly."

Yikes! Not good. Malcolm featured earlier in the adventure and I must have had a brain fade. Thanks for pointing this out. Now fixed!
-
Yep! Strange things are coming from various directions. And yep! I'm starting to wonder if more happened when Tan first met Nathan than we realise..
-
'Hiss, spit, snarl and grumble.'- sounds like Gryl with indigestion. Yikes! You posit a posset? I'm finding that hard to swallow. Kieran did make the fire burn. Lol - a bit of darkness might bring light to the friends' understanding. Wow! You delight in the building of suspense? - Sounds like a few more cliff-hangers are needed. 🐧🐧🐧

Chapter 4. "Any suggestions, Arthur, Samuel?" "Not really. We’re well organised and leaving early to allow for unknowns, so even if something major happens we should have enough time to get back here." "Kieran, I thought Rhys was just being Rhys when he said we’ll have to see what we can’t see, but I couldn't help noticing the strong look Corey gave him." Corey nodded his agreement with Arthur. "Yes, I had a feeling he was speaking specifically, rather than his usual gen

Corey was the one who thought the Life stuff might be important and I think it's interesting how much weight Kieran gives to his suggestions. Nathan in the Realms??? Yikes! What a brilliant idea! It could even warrant a whole new story.
-
Yes, and Kieran is particularly astonished with the way Nathan can merge so effectively. And yes, the adventurous elements are compounding rapidly. 🦈🦈🦈
-
Lol - Kieran's life seems to be taken over by new and strange things he needs to practise. I'm pretty much out of the glitch before posting this chapter - I'm hoping to manage a three day posting interval from now on.
-
Yes, I was kind of worried that the experiments went on so much but their importance in the story didn't give me much choice. Hmm! Your insight about the 'insight' might - just might - be more significant than you realise. 🦈🦈🦈

Yes, new things are afoot for the Widderfolk. After overcoming the threat to Woorawa's Sacred Places the friends return to Melbourne and another chance at catching their breath, gathering their wits, and preparing for campus life. Little do they know!!! If you enjoy gentle, but epic, fantasy, companionship, and adventure, you might like to check out the world of Widderkin.

Widderkin Interlude. Chapter 3. "How did you sleep, John?" "On and off, I'm afraid. My mind wouldn't stop going over everything that’s happened. Is there anything you want a hand with, Kieran?" "Yes, after we stoke the fire you can help me collect enough fish for everyone's breakfast." John glanced at the water. "I don't see any orcas." "We don't need them now that I’ve got the fish pattern. There are – dozens of them close by." "That little pause w

🦈 I've developed a bit of a soft spot for Nathan (lol - the same for all the main characters in fact, as they kind of feel real in my mind), so it's nice to hear that he's made an impression. 'I wonder who sent them to this world. I have no doubt they will figure out how to get to the realm, then back home, but they're learning a lot about their powers on this adventure.' You've asked a BIG question which will eventually be answered - kind of. 🦈
-
Wonderful to hear! Yes - the friends are back and it's quite an extended group throughout the Interlude.
-
Sorry, maybe 3 or four days. 🐧
-
🦈 Yep! - and I'll quote Woorawa - '"It’s happening again, Kieran. Another situation where stuff happens that we don't understand."' 🦈

Widderkin Interlude. Chapter 2. "Kieran?" The voice was above and, opening his eyes, Kieran wondered why he was sprawled on the deck. "What happened, Michael? Did I trip over?" "I don't know. I just snapped out myself and you’re the first one to move. Everyone’s asleep or something." Alarm grew and an instant check revealed minds all coming awake. Yes, Ban wondering why Corey's eyes were closed, Rhys taking in the bread and makings of a sandwich on the floor ne

Yep! It's been too long really (sometimes life interferes). Lol! Where else to end a chapter if not with a cliffhanger?
