    Chapter 18

Yes, Corey and Michael are having their mind boggling moments, for sure, but they've both had the benefit of prior support and preparation, as well as instant acceptance by the friendly Realm Lords. There's more to come about why Kieran and Ranevargar are so impressed by Corey.
  2. WIDDERKIN VOE. Chapter 18. *** "Harris, there’s no sense to this. Whoever is orchestrating these aggravatingly effective protests can't allow their main figurehead to disappear. What do Benton's sources say?" "There are no first-hand reports but what we do have is consistent in saying he's gone on a dream walk." "More mumbo-jumbo. What’s that supposed to mean?" "Apparently it’s a journey into the spirit world. Benton thinks it is a retreat to one of their secret sit

    Chapter 17

Yes, and he's only been with the group for a short time. I suspect his reactions will be interesting in their own right.

    Chapter 17

Hopefully without tears, we'll peel the layers away. Convolve and obfusc? What's that? Let's knot tangle ourselves in Dionesian dilemmas requiring Alexandrian solutions.🗡️ And 'as always' -
  5. Palantir

    Chapter 17

Morrison and Harris think compromise is what happens to other people. Whoo! A scary possibility because governments can call on resources unavailable to mere mining companies. Corey and the Realms - lol - anything could happen. Bureaucrats can be gummerupperers? I shouldn't respond to prescient comments - whoops! I just did. Next chapter portals us to the Realms.

    Chapter 17

'the ick factor'. I love that description. Nope! You're not quite right. Kieran has taken Harris's pattern, the same as he's done with Benton, and can check up on them as long as they're reasonably close. Kieran's Opal network is a different order of connection and being part of it seems to require willingness from both sides. The Realms visit is imminent (along with a few surprises).
  7. WIDDERKIN VOE. *** "I couldn't resist checking, Kieran, and Harris was here for a while but then he left." "Three of the delegates want to talk to the Cultural Centre staff so we’ll be with you soon, Corey. Are there any clues about where he might be now?" "Not really. The receptionist told me he was asked to arrange a minibus tour so that’s one possibility. Otherwise I would suggest checking the accommodation places." "Hmm. That could be anywhere. Any other ideas how we

    Chapter 16

Wow! Lots of interesting thoughts! You're right of course. Morrison isn't overly concerned by the constant run of setbacks because he's got three of the most powerful movers and shakers in the government well and truly under his thumb. Malcolm picked us so much he surprised even Kieran who was keeping a careful watch on his surface thoughts. Morrison can't believe his hold over Brian(Cory) has stopped working. Lol! - there's already been a hint of something rather fitworthy - 'nuff said. The coming chapter prepares Corey for the Realms.

    Chapter 16

And great to know you enjoyed the installment. Yes, the balance scales for Malcolm and the other four delegates have really tipped towards Woorawa. Maybe we should call him 'Dreamdancer' as well as Dreamwalker? 🦅
  10. Palantir

    Chapter 16

Yep! Morrison's ploy to shift the confrontation buck to the government is now in tatters.
  11. Palantir

    Chapter 16

Thanks @CincyKris, Yes, Woorawa's 'natural' magic is an inspiration for all. Lol - Harris has not one iota of interest in the local customs and history. His boss wonders if Brian (Corey) might possibly have linked with Woorawa and the 'curiosity' is Harris's cover for going to the Visitor's Centre where he knows the friends are based. Malcolm is a new, and rather important, character. He is the Department Head of the Finance Ministry.

    Chapter 16

Yep, confusion is right - but those dratted enemies keep coming up with fun and games of their own.
  13. WIDDERKIN VOE. *** Morrison listened to Harris’s report on the government delegation's first day at Alice Springs with growing unease. "A group of elders was waiting when our charter flight landed and they invited the whole delegation to a formal Welcome to Country ceremony which had been set up in readiness for them. The remainder of the day had been left for settling in and Benton had to accept the rather definite response from the five delegate leaders." "Why would they be

    Chapter 15

Thanks @Dathi, 🖥️ Lol - I didn't see it either. It was one of those times when a character takes over and introduces a new story element. Corey actually meant stacks of changes in the way I expected the story to play out, and discarding pages and pages of work on the first version of him.
  15. Palantir

    Chapter 15

Yes, - curious. Kieran and talent seem like an electromagnet and iron. 'Bosses' secrets' - lol! - no comment (spoiler alert)
  16. Palantir

    Chapter 15

That's for sure! - and we've only just met him. Ranevargar clearly sees something and wants to give him more help in the Realms. 🖥️
  17. Palantir

    Chapter 15

Yes, Corey is the silver lining from the cloud of surveillance and interference. I'm intrigued by the level of trust implied by Ranevargar's advice for complete openness with him. Corey and Michael? Hmm!
  18. Palantir

    Chapter 15

'Swinging' - I love that. Yes, we've had the first intimation with Harris's orders to be involved in some sort of delegation. And you're right - a trip to the Realms is growing in importance.
  19. WIDDERKIN VOE. *** Weird. Had he fallen asleep? Whatever it was had worked as he felt so relaxed he was reluctant to open his eyes. A surprise tingle of energy changed that ... He must be dreaming ... One of the subjects was sitting in the passenger seat, smiling softly and radiating friendliness. "Hello, Brian. I want to say a big thank you for your secret help and to let you know that we would love to help you in return." Brian? That was his Sydney name. And knowing about t

    Chapter 14

The remnants are rendered redundant, recalled and reused. Briggs' bizarre behaviour leaves them like headless chooks. Several of them are tasked with finding John/Brian/Corey.🖥️
  21. Palantir

    Chapter 14

Thank you! 🐳 Michael goes to the Realms and blows Ranevargars' mind. Yes, as we've heard, Morrison knows that somehow he is outclassed security-wise and is shifting tactics. Auntie has been touched, mind body and spirit, and I guess she wants to understand how Michael fits with this. Next? - well, next is Corey.🖥️
  22. Palantir

    Chapter 14

Michael's lovely nature resonates with all the friends and makes him fully welcome. - not that they had any choice really, after Tan's oracle moment involved him so dramatically. Yes, there are more of these bad guys - 'nuff said.
  23. Palantir

    Chapter 14

Yes. The moment Ranevargar saw what Briggs was prepared to do he sent him packing. 'Interconnected' - aha! You've got that so right.😃
  24. WIDDERKIN VOE. *** Kieran surfaced from introspection and swept his gaze slowly and purposefully across the stark surroundings in an attempt to follow Burrimul’s exhortation to become atttuned to this timeless place. Timeless was certainly right. Apart from one spindly ghost gum everything close was rock and earth. Some forty metres away, Woorawa and Burrimul were sitting on the meeting rock and the hum of their conversation and occasional chant was a curiously fitting counterpoint to

    Chapter 13

Well, I'm not quite sure how to respond. The 'awesome' and 'intriguing' descriptions put a smile on my face though. Thank you! 😀
