I walk the barren path - 5. Siren's Call

Siren’s Call

Is it better to be positive and be disappointed? Or to be negative and be surprised?
Or is it better to not care? Confine yourself to misery
Is it then you should hear the Siren’s call?

When you know the battle could be won, yet the war will be lost,
When your soldiers fall all around you
Is it then you should hear the Siren’s call?

When you see yourself grow old and those you love fall away,
When you feel age’s claws sink in
Is it then you should hear the Siren’s call?

When there’s no hope for love, and you crumble inside,
When nothing goes right and only loneliness presides
Is it then you should hear the Siren’s call?

When the colour fades away,
And there are only a few shades of grey
Is it then you should hear the Siren’s call?

When she calls for you, will you answer?
When you having nothing left to lose, will you answer?

But if I scream your name into the void....will you answer?
