I walk the barren path - 3. Salvation
Through the whispers of the trees I hear your name,
As the rain falls I see your tear streaked face, looking at me through the abyss.
Pain etched onto skin, I reach out.
My tears match the rhythm of your own, my hand slips through
Your light still shines in my mind, my heart, banishing the creeping shadows.
Our cries ripple the void beyond, the barriers between us we will shatter
My breath, my heart, my mind, my soul, my love
l share with you, until damnation or salvation
I will be with you.
