Astronomical Dusk - 3. Conversations
Conversations
At Dusk:
The sky is burning
Sun set; rays spurring.
You don't know me, and I don't know you
but we're here for good
Conversation.
Short, sweet
Meager – unsaid words they flee.
Unsure how they should be rolled,
Unsure how they should be strung,
Flung
into the wind and into the stars,
they fall all around us as we're here for
Silent conversation,
hooked with a laughter compilation,
Even though I don't know you, and you don't know me.
At Night:
The air is cold
Darkness fallen; the clock old.
You don't know me, and I'm in love with you,
so we're here alone for
Silent conversation.
Unspoken words on our tongues
Shiver, fumble,
Tumble
Falling up into the city lights that pollute our skies,
Fading into the sparks that map our universe tonight.
All is still and beautiful as we're here for good
Conversation.
Short, meek,
echoing loud and tactfully sweet,
Simply because you don't know me, and I'm in love with you.
