The Whispering - 1. A Small Voice

A small Voice
By J.A. Oshio

Here I was thrown
In suffering and pain
Here I am alone
Tied now to this chain

Alone in the dark
Left to die
And yet there is a spark
It lets me try

A small voice
Now that they are gone
Saying I have no choice
It tells me to go on

Forward I crawl
Crawling out of the dust
Hearing ever it’s call
While I claw at the rust

Until my fingers raw
And my voice shakes
From the throbbing jaw
And the thousand aches

Voices I hear
The whisper screams
As I shed a tear
And fall into dreams

I am really starting to enjoy your prose.

The flow here is so free, and while the out look is bleak, the strength of character, the will to go on shines through, a bold light of hope, in a world of darkness.

Warm glow I found reading. Thanks.

what is life worth without the will to go on?

Indeed what would the person in the story's life be without his will to continue to keep trying... even though he was badly hurt? :) thanx for reading and leaving a review. ^_^
