Wayne's Poems - 3. Sunbeam

A beam of sun falls

to serendipitously

warm the cold still heart.

The only haiku I've written that I like.

I like how all the words in the first and last lines are monosyllabic, while you have a six syllable word in the middle. Also, pretty!

Thanks, Thorn.  I don't know why it was written this way, but it's what wanted out.  So here we are.  🙂

I'm a dabbler in poetry.  I'm all right with that.  I'll leave it for the pros like you and AC.

Like @Thorn Wilde, I like the word serendipitously in the middle line. It's a lovely poem. Thanks for sharing it.

You know, I tried really hard to find a seven syllable word that would work there.  Hehehe.
Thanks for commenting, Parker.

Thanks, Mac.  I've written many... and liked one.  But, I'll take it.

The beam of sun I needed today.

Nicely done.  Thank you.

I was gonna say "anytime", but this is a rarity.  So... instead, I'll say "you're welcome."
Thanks for the nice comment, and I hope your day improves.  🙂

Reminds me of my religious days, and C.S. Lewis' 'Stabs of Joy.' We're weird creatures.

Thanks for reading and commenting, @Akronmo!

We are undoubtedly weird creatures.  There's no changing that, so we might as well revel in and enjoy it.  🙂
