Griffin Forrester is a Former FBI profiler, who had struggled for the last 10 years, with both his psychic abilities, and the disgrace of living with the reality that not even those powers, allowed him to see the evil that was always right in front of him. He's tried to hide from his past, but when a child Is abducted, and her parents are brutally murdered in a ritualistic manner eerily similar to the case that cost him his career, he's dragged back into a world where belief and wishes don't always set you free to fly.

Sometimes life just doesn't fit neatly within the lines. Having grown up in foster care from age 5 to 14, tattoo artist Sevastyanov Diaz knows that well. Fortunately, family can be found when you least expect it to grow beyond tragedy. After he loses his foster sister, Ava Diaz, and is left to raise her daughter with the help of her ex-boyfriend, Aiden Ward, life takes on new twists and turns, including new discoveries about a man Sev thought he knew everything about. But broken crayons still color, and if people are meant to be together, they always find a way.
