I wholeheartedly agree. We are lulled into a sense of peace with many-levelled relationships developing and then come the twists and turns as ignorance and bigotry show their ugly faces, but also some surprises.  All beautifully written.   Perfect.

Deservedly so. Most, if not all, of your stories published to date have made the top 10 in various genres on multiple occasions. As I have said before, you may challenge Cliff Richard yet for the most top 10's. I am sure you are leaving the ghastly Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith in your wake.

As the esteemed @Summerabbacat coined the phrase, The Hugillverse, a wonderful place where one can let their mind wander among the delightful twists and turns of not only the setting, but the denizens therein.

So this is what he has been doing instead of screenwriting, producing, directing and acting. If you added singing to his resume, he would be a regular Barbra Streisand.
