I loved this short story, great characters written with a raw narrative that exquisitely matched their situation. Not perhaps for everyone, but kind of like an art house movie, a hidden gem that plays to a tiny audience who sparsely populate the auditorium on a cold and damp afternoon. The sort of writing that might or might not get spotted by a literary critic and praised on the pages of a independent publication dedicated to fans of the art. In brief, it's different and a million times better for so being.
