The first time Rick kissed him, it felt like a joke.
Salt on his cheek. Wind in his mouth. Laughter close enough to pass for safety.
Later, in another country, in a kitchen with colder light and windows that didn’t open the same way, Liam would remember that night by the water and try to locate the exact second when his life tilted. He would search for a crack in the structure — a warning sound, a visible fault line, he would never find.
Warning: Although the whole plot, jokes, scenes and thoughts are mine, I used a lot of help from AI. I might go through the whole story and rewrite it myself for now my apologies.
