Writing prompts - 2. The Field (Poetry Prompt 15 – Free Verse)

The Field

Flowers bloom in a wash of ephemeral beauty

like cautious youth, awkward, gone so quickly and yet -

The memory of a kiss, stolen, remains.

A sweet thrill of hope, and love that might have been.

This poetry stuff is fun!

Have to agree, poetry is fun... and I really liked this one of yours.

I will have have a smooze around your doings.. so to speak!!

Seriously, I liked this very much, it was very much a feeling of a breezy summers day. With the long grasses and tall poppies. And the boy.. in love. Beautiful

tim

just what I was going for! Yay - I might not be hopeless at this poetry thing, after all.
