Poems to Jian - 3. Mahal kita
With letters in his name
I write this anthem
While within his iris
I witness the Aether
Lean on me, Jian
Alone we are.
Kiss me with a smile,
Stare within me,
As reason loses
Its eternal strike,
As hearts mesh,
As senses win.
Share with me,
Share the thirst within.
Join me now,
Silent, then not so,
As we stroke hair,
Kiss ears,
Taste moist skin,
Tease with skill...
Enthral me!
Take me as I will take thee.
Let’s hear the intent
While senses intone a sonata:
Heart on heart,
As we want more, as we tense,
As we tame the monsters within.
Soar with me,
Till we entwine the moans,
Till time loses its strain,
Till the kite attains the stars,
Till we last no more,
Till the intense release...
…till we are one, whole.
Later, in the other's arms,
We rest, serene.
With a kiss, I intone:
'Mahal kita, Jian... Je t'aime'.
It's a lipogram where I only used letters that are part of Jian's real name and letters included in 'mahal kita' ('I love you' in Filipino). Hence why it is a poem about love without the word 'love' in it. I had to do away with words that would have fit the theme, such as 'embrace', 'hug', 'pleasure', 'lips', 'eyes', 'you', 'passion', 'soul', 'mind', 'dream', 'lust' (excluded letters: B C D F G P Q U V X Y Z).
