A Horses Tail. - 1. Chapter 1

I raced down to the stables,
concerned about my Annaday,
to find him with that defiant look on his face,
standing slouched in his paddock.

He neighed as I got closer,
he knows who I am,
he knows it’s me and not anyone else.
I swear he smiles when he sees me.

He didn’t move but an inch,
normally he walks over,
trying to push his way through the gate,
it should have worried me more than it did.

I spoke softly to him,
attempting to reassure him,
while I listened to his gut,
I heard noise.

He started to nibble on my back,
softly blowing on my skin,
his cute way on trying to bite me,
though he never does.

He seemed fine,
I patted his neck,
telling him that he was worrying me,
that I loved him.

I said I would see him in the morning,
as he rubbed his face over my shoulder,
pulling me into a hug,
and squeezing me tight,
I wrapped my hands around his neck,
kissing under his mane,

I patted him one last time,
he neighed to me,
as I walked away,
before nibbling at the grass.

He seemed fine.
