Happy New Year - Prologue. Prologue

Thank you for the music...

May we all have a vision now and then,
Of a world where every neighbor is a friend;
May we all have our hopes, our will to try,
If we don’t we might as well lay down and die.

Happy New Year

Ok you got me intrigued...

LOL

Morning! (my time)

I guess the prologue and chapter 1 didn't post at exactly the same time even though I thought I'd set them to do so.

They're both up now, I just checked.

Man, I do love me some ABBA. I'll read your story just based on that! lol
LOL

That song has been part of my "holiday" playlist for years. I listened to it a lot back in December when I was outlining Wood & Abe's story and I thought it would make a great title and intro to the story. Write me again after part 2 posts. You'll probably figure out why I'm asking you to do so :D

Thank goodness for your other reviewers who clued me in . I have to confess that when I read Lisa's comment after reading the prologue, my initial reaction was ABBA? What? Where?
Quick check back and I realized that I completely glossed over the credit as I was pondering the meaning of their words. It is a lovely sentiment. I loved ABBA when I was a kid and currently have 2 of their Greatest Hits albums on my playlist. Strangely, I have never heard this song. I will have to add it.

That is such an old song but still love it and still moves me every year when i pull it out of storage. LOL

I mentioned to another reader last night, most of my stories have layers upon layers in them and there are always hidden gems within them. At least to me they're gems LOL

The song isn't one of the hidden ones, but it was a perfect fit for the story I wanted to tell. And for the way I wanted to tell it, by jumping from one holiday to the next.
