Just Stay Another Day - 2. Chapter 2 : I Wanted To

Alexander :

I wanted to come back and hold you.
My days away from you were harder than you think
I wanted to tell you that I love you and that I always will.
Never for a moment did I want to hurt you.

I am sorry for any pain that I caused
I'm sorry that I cracked under the pressure
but the weight of the world was too much
And my love for you is all that I treasure.

Forgive me, I never planned for it to end this way.
Of course I care about you. Has anything ever made you doubt that ?
I love you so much that my heart has no more space
but you must understand why I never came to you.

The pain it caused me you'll never know
but if I went to you , you would never let me go

I needed to get away
I needed to breathe but the air here
is not pure without you

I needed to run
I needed to be free but the freedom here
has trapped me more

I needed to be happy
I needed to feel safe but the place here
has only killed me further

I always wanted you to come with me
but I didn't know where I was going.

I knew you wouldn't care
But I would.
And seeing you hurt for me
would just make everything harder.

So you must understand that I wanted to

But another day ?
its too much to ask.
Another month ?
Our love wouldn't last.
Another year?
I would be drowned in my past.
Forever ?
Only if a spell had been cast
to make time go fast
for with a pain so strong
and a mind so vast..
Its really is a lot to ask.

So don't hate me
Don't judge me
And trust me
and know that

I really wanted to.I wanted to come back and hold you.
My days away from you were harder than you think
I wanted to tell you that I love you and that I always will.
Never for a moment did I want to hurt you.
