Greg's Rambling Poetry Works - 2. What Might Have Been
Shadows play across my dream swept mind
And scenes of a life with you I’m shown
Swirling fog-swept memories of moments in time
Visions of longing playing before my eyes
Images of you, a smile, a kiss
A lingering touch and passion's embrace
Warmth filled laughter, a sparkling tear
Gentle breath across trembling skin
Lifetime of memories all spent with you
Caught in a web of shining light.
Shadows dance, darkness entwines
A subtle shift in the scenes before my eyes
Moments in time march across my mind
Visions of you…and another
Your happiness finds
As I watch scenes of you and him
And dream of what might have been.
