Greg's Rambling Poetry Works - 3. Dreams

Twilight falls
Another day ends
Eyes close
And dreams begin

Thoughts of you
A lover's kiss
Warm embrace
Memories this

Fingers touch
Gentle caress
Spirits entwine
Sweet duress

Your lingering scent
Warmth of your breath
Fluttering eyes
And hope's death

Darkness fades
Night's dreams end
Another day's
Torture begins

You excel at the bitter sweet. Very touching indeed. I liked the structure here - the two and three word lines, so little saying so much.
Thanks again Conner. As always, I appreciate it! This particular piece was inspired by someone I loved very much, but circumstances intervened. Bitter sweet is a pretty good summation of what I was feeling over the situation.
