Pain of Love II - 1. Losing Gravity

I know you are always with me.

I can feel your arms holding me close

even though we have never touched.

I know you would never leave me.

I can hear the sincerity in your words

even though I have never heard your voice.

But I don’t know if I can make it through this

just knowing these things

when I need to feel you so much.

And it is beyond pathetic

that I need to cling to you

from thousands of miles away,

but you are half of me

and my heart doesn’t beat

when it can’t feel yours.

And normally I would know

that you are always there,

that your heart always beats against mine.

But I am past the point of normally

and am beyond the borders of rational

and can only sit here and ache--

desperate for the touch of your words,

starving for the sound of your voice,

shaking with the need of your arms,

clinging to anything and anyone I can reach

just to keep from losing gravity

and flying off the earth into forever.
