Angel's Tears - 5. Head First into Fun

A couple hours later I was sitting in my apartment staring at a folder of papers they had given me. I was slightly dazed and kinda confused. It's a lot of information to process for one day.

Basically I had signed away my life for the length of my employment. Also, I had to keep my tongue tied about the processes there and I couldn't take a similar job with a competitor until six months after my fire date.

My main job was to handle all of the scheduling of models and equipment usage. I was basically Aiden's assistant. Or maybe I was more like his underling? I'm not sure.

What I was most excited about was the chance to actually do the work. If for any reason Aiden couldn't do a piece, (he got sick, it wasn't a medium or model he was comfortable with,) then the job fell to me. That small chance was exciting.

Plus, I got to see all of the work being made. I get to learn how the whole thing works from the order to the final sale out. If I payed attention, I could open my own place easy some day or even take over this one.

And the pay wasn't bad either. With benefits of course.

"You looked freaked." I'll admit, I jumped. Aiden was sitting on my windowsill again.

"Wasn't till you did that to me again. I really should close that window."

"Too nice of a day to close it. You'd miss out on this great breeze." He smiled at me and hopped down into the room. "But seriously, you looked a little freaked out there for a minuet. You've been staring at that file since I gave it to you too."

"Its just a lot to handle in one sitting. I'm still trying to work through it all." I looked at him and couldn't help but smile. His mood is contagious. "I can't believe I got this job. Feels like I should wake up any minuet from now."

"Trust me, you won't feel like your dreaming come Monday morning. I'm going to work you like you've never worked before. You have to learn the process fast so we can up productivity."

"I'll do my best. I promise."

" I know you will. That's why I brought the boss down. We had to have you." He stood there looking at me for a minuet and got the biggest 'I'm planning something' grin on his face. "It's friday, right?"

"Yeah ... Why?" It was hard to put my finger on it but I had a feeling I was going to regret not kicking him out right then and there.

"You'll see. Just go get dressed. Wear something flashy."

"I'm already dressed?"

"Yeah, for a business meating. I said FLASHY, man! Now go spruce up. I'll be back in ten minuets and I expect you ready by then!"

He practically flew out the window. I knew better than piss off my new boss so I ran to the bathroom to redo my hair and change.

"Crap! I don't know the dress code for this!" I finally decided on a simple print button up in silk and loose slacks. That should be okay for anything that my suit couldn't handle. I hoped.

Apparently, in Aiden time, ten minuets is actually twenty. Though I'm not going to say the result wasn't worth the wait. He looked amazing!

He was wearing a pair or boot cut designer jeans over high top skater shoes and a simple white shirt with a button up thrown over unbuttoned. The white shirt was sheer and slightly see through while the button up was iridescent purple/blue.

I could tell he was dressed to impress. He had on a Rolex watch in silver with diamond studs. He repeated the theme in all his accessories. His necklace was a simple knot work with a diamond center and all his other jewelry was either silver or diamond as well.

The truly stunning part about his appearance though, was his face. You can tell he did some of the makeup for the shoots. His eyes were outlined in a shade of purple that made his blue colored contacts pop amazingly. He was wearing just the right amount of foundation and cover-up as well as a subtle lip tint that made me want to chew on them. Its hard to wear makeup and look neither gay nor goth but he did it.

"Holy shit I feel under dressed now. It's just, you told me ten minuets so I kinda rushed."

"Then let's do your face. Come on downstairs." He walked to the window but turned back around at the last second. "Don't forget to lock your door."

"Right!" I ran back and did so then went to the window to follow him down. I stuck my head out just in time to see his rear slide in his window. So cute. "I'm coming!" I called, and squeezed through the small window. Aiden made it look so easy.

I got to his place but hardly had a chance to look in when he had appeared in the window with a few products. "Alright, sit back on the steps. We gotta hurry."

"Here?"

"Ya here, just sit back." I did so and he attacked my face with eyeliner, mascara, and his lip tint. After he finished he handed me a mirror. He sure knows his stuff. I looked great.

"Now your hair. Close your eyes." I knew better than to argue by now so I did so and he sprayed a few things and tugged at my head a bit. When he was done I'm sure I looked amazing but didn't have a chance to check. He'd snatched the mirror and thrown it inside before closing the window.

"Down the steps. We'll just go to the car from here. I do it all the time."

We climbed down the stair and the ladder and finally reached the ground.

"I'm driving," he said. I almost told him that was obvious since I had no clue where we were going but decided to be nice. He HAD just gotten me a killer job.

"Right, you have no clue where we're going. Of course in driving. I forgot." He let out a little chuckle and hit the remote locks for his car. I saw the lights flash on a car down the aisle and walked toward it. It was a nice car. Medium sized four door painted a deep blue it looked like. But since it was getting dark I't might actually be green for all I knew.

"Where ARE we going anyways?"

"I told you you'd see. Its a bit of a drive. I hope you like r&b and hip hop."

"I just like music in general. I don't have a preferred genre." Which was actually true. I'd listen to just about anything. Especially edits, covers, and remixed songs. Anything out of the 'mainstream' was higher in my book. Takes a lot to make a good song with all the big names weighing you down.

But that's a bit off of topic. I folded into the side seat and buckled in. It was actually a comfortable fit. Being around six feet in height makes fitting in cars kind of hard most of the time. His car was a decently good fit though.

It had a decked out center console too. The thing shone like a christmas tree. Everything on it had a light. There was a light on every knob and every switch and every port. It was pretty to look at but had to be a distraction while your driving at night.

"You going to tell me where we're going?"

"Nope. Just sit back and enjoy the ride for now." He looked over at me as he started the engine. It purred to life without even a stutter. "Though you might wanna watch the road. In case you wanna come back."

"Cash or card kinda place?"

"Either one. But it's my treat tonight. Told you it's a celebratory thing."

"I can't let you do that, man."

"You don't have a choice." He laughed an evil laugh real loud then looked over at me. My expression must have been funny because he cracked up and I think we almost crashed. I couldn't help but laugh too.

He said it would be a long drive so I leaned back and chatted with Aiden while he drove, hoping that it would be a fun night.
