The Window of Longing - 6. A Second thought
I am but a second thought.
An inconsequential part of others' lives.
I speak with no voice.
If I do not listen,
I am not heard.
My time is free.
The value naught.
My presence is never missed.
I wonder what I mean in the eyes of others.
Yet the answer falls as easily off lips as water down a stream.
It swallows like a bitter pill.
I am but a second thought.
