Aleric Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 (edited) Wow. I just saw the movie "I am David". To be clear, there is nothing gay or erotic about this movie at all, but... I haven't been crying this much since I saw the Green Mile. If you have a bittorrent client, this link should work for another 383 hours after I post this. You might need to 'register' first, but it's worth it (good site anyway, this filelist.org). Movie description: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327919/ I Am David is adapted from Anne Holm's internationally acclaimed novel North to Freedom. It is the story of a 12-year-old boy, David, who escapes a Communist concentration camp with little more than a compass, a sealed letter, a loaf of bread, and instructions to carry the letter to Copenhagen, Denmark. David is thrust into the free world for the first time in his young life as he travels across Europe. It is a spiritual voyage of discovery, where David slowly loses his instinctual mistrust of humanity and begins to smile, share, trust and ultimately, love. I Am David addresses the cruelties, politics, and suffering of warfare while celebrating the resilience of youth and the unbreakable spirit of a child. *Myr Edit - Removed illegal file sharing link. Crackerwriter Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 My little machine certainly wasn't prepared to download it, but it didn't tell me why, which is kind of a nuisance. I might well have watched it otherwise.
B_O_B Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Sadly I haven't seen the movie because I live in a cultural wasteland and it never made it to the theatres, so I will have to wait for the DVD. I have read the book, however, and would recommend it to anyone. B_O_B

Also, don't forget to change the default port of bittorrent (see http://www.filelist.org/blacklist.php) Good luck!
Crackerwriter Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 OMG! Do I need a passport too? Well if I get a month of Sundays I'll give it a go or wait until my computer boffin comes around!
BillM Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Read the book in eighth grade, very touching piece of literature, had no idea there was a movie though, downloading it on BT now
