Yankee's done, yay!

Chapter 16 is off to Nifty and Myr, though both folks have plenty to do, and it's 10 AM so I wouldn't expect anything before the morning. Still, I've finished, and feel the need to dance the geeky author dance of completion. This would be a good time to avert your eyes. :)

Now it's time to dig into other things. Ben and William await, as do a number of other characters who've been grumbling at me lately.

Well done on finishing mate - I can't wait to read it now it's done. :D

As for that dance - you will have to teach it to me sometime. I don't think I've ever done one when I've finished a book or a story. :P

I know I'm supposed to celebrate and be pleased but...OK I am glad and excited and I have to say it's a very good thing when an authors knows when the story arc is over and lets his characters go...BUT

I love Yankee: it's a superb story and even though I'm excited to be reading the final section I'm going to miss it.

WRITE MORE STORIES RIGHT NOW!

Or I shoot the puppy and it will be all your fault

I've just finished reading it and while it's not the ending I wanted it's definitely the right ending. I absolutely love it. Well done mate - I'll definitely be there if and when the sequel comes out. :D

No, not the poor helpless puppy! You wouldn't! You cad! :P

But yeah, stories have a beginning, middle, and end, and it's important to know that. I always knew how Yankee was going to end, more or less. More stuff's on the way, including Yankee's sequel (which I need a title for), though some heroic fantasy stuff's going to come first. With, possibly, the odd short story thrown in, just 'cause. :)

While this wasn't the ending I was expecting, I think it's perfect. Thank you so much for letting me glimpse the life of Justin.

You're very welcome. There hasn't been a huge amount of feedback, as the last part's only been up for a while and just now making its way across the nifty mirrors, most people seem OK with the way things have ended, even if it's not what they were hoping for. We'll see if that trend continues, and how well the sequel goes.

I've greatly enjoyed Yankee. You've created a unique and fascinating character, and the ending just blew me away. :2thumbs: Excellant job! I look forward to your next story.

Many thanks.
