An an example of a modern-day Sisyphean task is trying to get a journalist to tell you the truth without some sort of narrative-based agenda.

Ah, a little Greek Mythology in this word of the day.  I wonder how many of our members knew that Zeus punished Sisyphus for twice cheating death by ordering him to roll a boulder up a hill in order to escape Hades.  Every time he reached the top, the boulder would roll down to the bottom again, but Sisyphus never gave up and continued this task.
