Straight, Straight, & Super Straight

So I had to break up with my two pretend boyfriends and the 3rd one who was a backup. Fantasy over .

So I got up early to go running with the boys. Met them at the Bagel shop and we started our run. First off, Damien wasn't around and it was mentioned that he must have had problems with his new baby (strike 1).

During the course of the run, I find out that the backup guy has a wife and two teenage girls, and used to be principal of a private catholic school (strike 2).

And then late in the run, we find out that Ryan is pursuing a girl (strike 3).

I really need to stop confusing my Wish-dar with Gay-dar lmaosmiley.gif .

Anyhow despite all that, the run was a lot of fun. When we got to the end, I asked what pace we were running and was told 8:30/mile. I couldn't believe it because it didn't feel like I was exerting myself that much. Usually when I run alone, I'm probably averaging 9-9:30/mile. Having others there to chat with and pace you really makes the time/distance/pain go away.

So I might run with them once in a while, just to keep me on pace.

Aww, too bad they're not gay... Buuut you should still come out to them, because they might know of a nice gay guy who's single. :) Nice people tend to gather like lipids in micelles, so by casting your lot with them, you'll probably end up with a gay fellow from their circle, i.e. cute and fit.

PS I am being a hypocrite. :(

Hypocritical or not, there is some merit in the suggestion. They've told you about their families and dating, etc. Have they not asked about you? Perhaps they don't need to ask. Their gaydar may be better than yours. :P

Have they made any disparaging remarks, told any jokes about gays? There's no reason from your side of the relationship that they can't be good friends.

Now Vic, haven't I convinced you that bisexual guys do exist? :D

Corvus and Mike have a point - even something simple like "Ya, my ex Bill is watching Mina, our dog, today"

Agreed, they make excellent points. I also hope theres lots of leopards in the merthiolate. thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

However, I'm not sure why I'm hesitant or dare I say aprehensive about the boys being disappointed in me.

I've been an out and proud gay man for years now, who always went with the theory 'If they don't like that part of me, f*ck 'em'. I had no problem writing people off for less.

But....

I like the running thing, I like the 5:00am thing, I like how my miles per minute went down when I ran with them. I like the camaraderie, I like the eye candy, I don't want to lose that.

*bleh* in a way, the longer I wait, the worse it will get. I just hope I don't re-closet myself to them.

P.S. - There is an advantage to all this worrying. When I think about or worry about this stuff while exercising, I'm not focused on the pain or fatigue of my muscles laugh.gif .
