Julian Alexander
Did anyone else hear about this tower of light? I just hear about it today (Credit goes to TowleRoad for posting this on his blog). It seems that Yoko Ono had it made in honor of her late husband, John Lennon. The light tower is projected from inside a white stone well, and has "Imagine Peace" written in 24 languages on the outside. It also has about 495,000 "wishes" from an earlier project buried underneath it. It is supposed to be lit yearly from Oct 9 to Dec 8. It looks to be very aesthetically pleasing and its supposed to be eco-friendly, since it runs on geothermal energy. Watching being lit in person would have been more awe inspiring then watching it on YouTube. Watch the lighting (turning on) of the tower here:Imagine Peace Tower Ceremony Yoko Ono talking about the "Imagine Peace Tower": About the Peace Tower -Jules
