Christian000
Shades of Gray Flows of dreams. . . Enchanted beauty. . . Grand shreds of a divine sea. . . The soft delicate essence of the breeze against the thoughts. . . The sight of a white rose of a bird, such a jaunty sight. What trance do I fall in as I think to myself these thoughts "Why do I question myself?" I fade as I "fall" to question these unearthly views. . . But are our thoughts, vantage points, understandings, and emotions just a intricate, convoluted "Matrix" of lies? -Such a doleful and ghastly thought. Do I see black as you see white? We look through so many mirrors and windows but what do we gain? We search for a lucid Truth but is that what we will truly find at the end of the tunnel Or will it continue forever, incessant, not showing us black nor white, But only shades of gray. . . AFriendlyFace
Dude, I like that! Personally I always try to see life in shades of gray, and I think that 'Truth" as it can be most nearly understood and approximated does lie somewhere in these shades of gray, in the knowledge that the truth as a literal entity cannot be known. There is no black nor white, only gray. I like the many themes you employed: nature, truth, a search for spirituality. I can also see the movie The Matrix's influence on the piece and in was clever to weave the name into the poem itself. Well done -Kevin Link to comment
