This weekend a great :king: writer will go offline and go back to his life. He has inspired many of us in our writings. For six years he has been with us.

He has slaved < :worship: > over his stories to entertain and to pull at our hearts. This man has given to us some stories that we shall remember for a long time. :read:

I hope that he is able to go in peace on his new adventure of life.

Com, I wish you good health and life as you go offline. :great:

I have already posted my going away tribute to Com. He really is one of the top net authors and has set the bar high for the rest of us. We'll certianly miss him.

this is posted in Comicality's forum under a Tribute to One of the Masters

Comicality-

I'm new to your work, having only discovered your site recently. However, I can tell that your reputation as one of the masters of the genre is well deserved.

As the clock is ticking on your departure, I wanted to take the oppertunity to express my appreciation and respect for your work. As a writer myself, I know that it doesn't just spring effortlessly from the wordprocessor. It is a lot of hard work.

Your body of work is very impressive. You've written in several genres, short and long stories and in various formats. You do light-hearted and dark subjects with equal grace and ease and can make the reader laugh out loud or move them to tears. It takes another writer to understand how difficult that is to do. It is the mark of a very versatile and accomplished writer.

You have set the bar high for the rest of us.

I let Grasshopper get away before I could say goodbye. I didn't want to make the same mistake here.

I wish you all the best in whatever lies ahead for you. May life give you as much happyness, hope and delight as you have given to others.

With respect, admiration and appreciation,

James Savik

I agree wholeheartedly. I've already sent him a note, but I'll just say here that he will definitely be missed.

When I first found out about it I found it hard to believe. The clock said that comicality was leaving in a little over a year. At least I had that long but as the time quickly approaches, I find myself remembering a few things.

I remember that the first story I read at nifty was one of his. It was A Class By Himself and it led me to read the rest of his stories.

The second thing I remember was that Gone From Daylight was the first story that made me want to Write. It is such a good story and it's so cool.

The third thing is that I posted my first story in his forum. That was so long ago that I don't even remember the title.

The fourth thing is that I met a great friend in his forum. A friend that ultimately passed away but without his forums I would never have met.

The fifth thing I remember is that his story fallen angel helped me deal with the lost of that friend.

It makes me real sad that he is leaving but in the end I rather have had and loss than not to have at all. He gave us so much so I raise my cup towards him, wishing him good luck in the future. Thank you Comicality.

Comicality is probably my favorite net author. His stories have made me want to write and ultimately led me to GA where I found out that I'm far from alone in my appreciation for these sorts of stories. before then, aside form Nifty, which I've always thoguht of as mosty pornographic, and a series of unconnected sites hidden in unrelated webrings. Iomfats never struck home with me, but Com's stories were something I could relate to. It wasn't until he was down for the count that I took the plunge to put my own work out there and join the forums.

You are truly a great writer. Everything that has been said, I totally agree with. I've read many of your short stories, and just recently finished New Kid in School, and that is like the best story ever. It made me laugh, it made me teary eyed at some parts, and you just made it seem so real. I could relate to that story in many ways and wish it would go on forever. I plan to read a few more of your series this summer. :)

I've read that you honestly hate your own writing and I'm astonished at that. How you cannot see how great your writing is is beyond me, but just know that it is awesome.

You are leaving behind an amazing collection of literature and you will be missed by all. Like robbie said, if you ever feel like writing again, please do :D .

Thanks for all the selfless work you've done for so long. The collection of stories you've created are a shining example of everything any fledgling author would wish to emulate. For readers such as myself it has been a treat to peruse your works, especially the GFD series.

I wish you all the success in life, and hope you have a good long rest from all the hours of writing.

Thanks!!!!

In my first story (My Bodyguard)! I plugged New Kid in School! In my third story (Tossed Away Kid) Comsie was one of my characters! His stories were inspiration for both stories, (and i stole some stuff - the twins in MB was inspired from the kid from the hospital that was so hyper in NKIS. Thanks for the inspiration Bud!
