I've had a Yahoo Group set up for some time. It's called Arbourtales. I don't promote it, because the discussions here at GA are more broad than at the group, and I post story announcements on both sites at approximately the same time. In the past, I posted chapters to the group but I stopped doing that and referred people here instead. I've had some complaints from people who like to read doc files instead of web pages, so I'm reconsidering that and may start posting chapters there as well.

I wanted to inform everyone about it, so no one felt left out, but it's really not a big deal. This is the main hub of my writing activity. As for the group, you are free to join: you will be welcome. The only real benefit to joining is that I occasionally post pictures on the group that wouldn't be allowed here on GA.

Well for me... arbourtales was my route to GA... I first found CAP and "on the mark" on nifty.... leading me to your group...

When you stopped posting on the group I joined GA (so your laziness lead me to Paya  )

i have to say that I much preferred a DOC file... mainly becuase it was easy to save and read on long train journeys etc. Another reason is that personally, I really HATE the design of your GA site (sorry :( ) and find it awkward to read from.

The advantage of being here though is that your discussion forum is as much fun as the story itself.... so... if you start posting stories back at arbour tales, then in truth, that is where i will read them. That doesnt mean i will stop hassling you here (or elsewhere at GA).

I check it out from time to time. As for the pics, the ones of Calvert and Father Tim were especially delicious... awesome cocks I must say. :*)

Personally I think GA if someone has the expertise and time should consider working out how stories on here or webpages could be formatted for e-reading devices. I think that would be very handy :). Especially since they are becoming more popular - and I occasionally use my iphone to read while on journeys as well :). For that Mark your pages are great :).

I'm thinking of putting a story or two on PDF to see how it works.

If you use a program like Calibre you can pretty much do anything you want - convert from HTML to PDF to epub to .lit or whatever. It works really well AND it gives you a way to move your books on and off the nook really easily - pick a title in your library, right-click it and choose "send to device" in whatever format you want, and it will convert it on the fly. It's kind of an itunes for ebooks only without that pesky "purchasing" option.

Or you could just use a PDF printer like PDF Creator, print the story to PDF, and it should format for PDF just fine.

Then use Calibre to transfer the file to the nook (or just drag the PDF to the nook's My Documents folder).

Both calibre and PDF creator are open source and free.
