Meet our startup of the week – Potato Parcel, a Texas business that sends hand-scribbled messages on Russet potatoes to friends, family, or anyone, really. Before you laugh, consider this: founder Alex Craig (above, in sunglasses and overalls (sans t-shirt, naturally)) claims to have averaged $10,000 per month in sales since he launched in May. The local ABC affiliate scored an interview that must be seen to be believed.

The most shocking thing is, that it doesn't actually shock me that this venture was a success. These days there seems to be a market out there for anything and everything. 

 

The only limitation is a persons imagination.

This is definetly food for thought. A penny (or more appropriately a spud) for your thoughts on this?

 

Now I suppose that this song will have to be adjusted to include this new way of using the potato.
