One of the things that I'm looking to get more into is 3d minis.  I have a desire to increase my model painting, 3d modeling, and 3d printing skills.  3d minis helps with all those and end up as great props for fantasy writing or RPG playing.

 

Is anyone else into 3d minis?

 

I'm enjoying this guy's stuff a lot.

I've taken the plunge and now have a nice 3d printer.  I've started churning out parts.

This would be a rough cut.  This is straight off the printer, without any cleanup and obviously no painting.

I'm going to need to develop my own little photo booth for miniatures and such.

I did some more printing last week.

Well, I'm pretty sure a non-albino version of this fellow is going to end up in one of my stories somewhere....

I supported the Kickstarted for Fat Dragon Games for this model.  (along with a ton of others)

Mr Tom Tullis is the sculptor of this particular eyebeast and one hell of an artistic painter too.

 

Just to note, my picture is of the object litterally hot of the printer.  I need to clean up the material wisps and do some minor finishing work prior to painting.

The creator went with green dragon.  I decided to go red dragon and I'm going to try to follow the color pattern he used for green, but in reds.  We'll see how that goes.  but that will be later down the line when I suck less at this. lol
